Marvel Zombies/Army of Darkness crossover

This is the single greatest crossover idea since Batman vs. Predator was delivered to us by god.

I'm already pissing myself in anticipation.

AoD was a hilarious flick. But thats it. I just dont understand the big deal with this guy Ash. First they wanted him to go against Freddy and Jason in the FvsJ sequel (thank Christ Almighty that fell through) now they want him to battle undead Marvel superheroes. Hes invading all my mother-****ing hobbies, horror and comics. Theres just no way in any hell he could survive any of these encounters. Freddy and Jason would have realistically destroyed him in 2 seconds, the Jason would have destroyed Freddy realisitcally in 2 seconds. And against the heroes? Its rigoddamndiculous, thats what it is....

But it should be a hoot.

Ash shouldn't realistically have survived any of the Evil Dead movies. But somehow he does. That's what's so great about him. He fights beasts that are bigger, stronger and loaded with mystical power... and wins through a combination of fighting skill and stupid luck.

Frankly, I can't see how Jason would stand any chance against him, because one of Ash's greatest strengths is chopping anything that moves slower than him to pieces. Freddy would be quite another matter, though.

oh I am definitely getting this.

You..... liked Batman vs Predator?

Most people did. It was a huge hit, a top-selling trade for a decade and spawned a huge sea of imitators as well as two sequels.

So yes, of course.

o_O ... well, I liked Marvel Zombies and I like the Evil dead/Army of Darkness movies. I suppose it will either be a hit or miss... Either way I'M BUYING IT :D

Oh boy you dont want to go the slasher route with me. Especially with Jason Voorhees. Have you even watched any of the Friday the 13th movies? He cant be killed, thats his main "power". More so than Michael Myers, Freddy, or any of the slashers. Not to mention over time he can heal lost or damaged tissue when hes alive and walking about (not when hes incapacitated ala part 6-7 at the bottom of the lake). Watch Jason goes to Hell. He gets shot atleast 250+ times by a swat team with various claiber bullets and shells, then immediatly after blown to pieces, and he still lives through body hopping his soul. This is just a fraction of what hes been through. You want more detailed examples from prt 2-X let me know. Ash would die in literally 1.5 seconds. A shotgun or chainsaw? You ****ing nuts, that wouldnt do jack to Voorhees but piss him off. If your judging Voorhees by his bastardization in Freddy vs Jason, you are gravely mistaken to the real Jason. This is why i DISPISE FvsJ, cause that was not Jason.

I've seen F13 1 through 3, part of 6 and then Jason X and FvJ. I can't say I actually liked most of them, but even I was able to tell that the Jason in FvJ was more like Michael Myers than he was like Jason.

But I honestly think that a chainsaw is the ultimate weapon against a Michael Myers or a Jason Voorhees. When's the last time someone tried to cut these dude's heads off? The only time it happened, Halloween: Resurrection decided to retcon it. Cut off the head and they'll go down, I figure.

Stop using the world realistically when talking about supernatural slasher films!

Do you even look at the words you're typing? Realistically Jason Voorhees and Freddy Krueger are guys in masks who get paid to pretend to kill people.

Realistically, none of it is real. So who cares if a studio wants to throw Ash into the mix. His clever wit and chainsaw hand mean money in the bank.

Actually, all AoD fans know that was by far the weakest of the 3 films. Evil Dead 2 ruled. Why should he be in them?? 'Cause we saw in Evil Dead 2, Ashe's charcter really shone, and Bruce's acting ruled in that one.

The fact that he's such an idiot, and the ridiculousness of every story, is what makes Ash such a great character.

On the one hand, this is starting to feel a little overdone.

On the other hand, if this actually involves Ash picking Wolverine to pieces with a chainsaw, then consider me sold.

No they don't. That's just your opinion.

To me, Evil Dead 2 is easily the weakest. The first is a great horror flick, AOD is a great comedy. ED2 isn't great horror OR comedy.

The problem with cross-overs is that they often make no sense. "Hey, let's team Archie with the Punisher!"

This is one that not only makes sense, it's also pretty damn cool. I've never actually seen an Evil Dead, but the concept is bloody brilliant. I loved marvel Zombies, so I'm all over this.

The only way I would buy this, would be if I woke up tomorrow, and they find the Loch Ness monster making the beasts with two backs with Sasquatch. That is the ONLY way.

Honestly. Both were good in their own right. And while ice cream and soy sauce are good in their own rights, they don't go good together. But if they DO make this crossover happen, I just hope Ash is killed quickly by makeshift hammer Thor.

Damn, after totally schooling it in the Sentry debate, Gluon really fell apart here.

Ash is badass
Wolverine is badass
Zombies are badass

Sounds like a badass book to me. If you don't like it don't bother whining about it, because no one cares when you complain about popular characters.

And one last bit of advice

"Shop smart, shop S-mart...bub" *sniktsnikt*

I didn't fall apart. It's just a generally bad idea. These are two worlds that could never mix. It would be like having a crossover of Y the Last Man and Marvel 1602. It just wouldn't make sense, and wouldn't really contribute to much.

And no, Wolverine is NOT a badass. Quite the opposite. He's now an attention ****e. And I complain here, there, everywhere. And, as long as it doesn't detract from the argument itself, I will complain here.

Point taken

And here is how you're wrong.

Think of Army of Darkness. What right did Ash have to go back into the Dark Ages? Is it really that big of a leap in logic that he would be sent into some other sort of hellish world?

And on Wolverine, he is not the problem, he is a badass through and through. It's the writers that overuse him. With your logic, Spider-Man, Superman and Batman aren't good characters either because of their amount of exposure.

You have the right to argue all you want, just try and think things through before you announce your dislike for a popular character, bub.
