Marvel's: Blade

Exactly. Let’s see, say no to an actor of his caliber just because he played a villain on half a season of a Netflix show that’s already been canceled, or give him whatever he wants.

Not a hard choice.

Feige is a smart man. He wasn't going to say no to Ali.

You don’t need to be smart to say yes to Ali as Blade. You just need to not be all-out dumb!

Seriously if Ali walked in and said he wanted to play Namor.... you make that happen as soon as possible. I haven't seen a role yet that he hasn't elevated.

The quality of Luke Cage went downhill as soon as he left the show as the villain they replaced him with was just awful.
I didn’t think Diamondback was as bad as everyone else thought, but it was still a bad move not having Ali in the show longer.

He can elevate any role, but Blade is made for him. He can be the perfect Blade.

Ali being in the movie MCU now though means that all of the Netflix characters will be recast, which kind of sucks, because there were a few standouts.

Awesome news... I wanted Y'lan Noel to get it but I'll take Mahershala Ali.

I'm excited for this! And Ali is the perfect choice for the role

Ali coming to Feige and wanting a role shortly after winning his Oscar shows the draw of the MCU. Throw in Hayek, Jolie, and all the other big names who've come on board only further shows how big of a player Marvel Studios has become in Hollywood.

We all agree that Jordan Peele is the best choice to direct this, right? Ok.

Immediately the first choice that came to mind.

Great actor! Looking forward to seeing him in costume the first time. I'm still so pleasantly surprised that the character is coming back to the big screen and part of the MCU.

Blade has been around all this time, mingling with vampires during these events!? Mind blown in an awesome way

Fantastic choice. Not much better actors out there.

Was hoping that he would be working class english like in the comics but oh well. Great it's being made.

Kick-ass casting. Wow. I hope his age won't be a problem.

If Taika Waititi doesn't have a cameo as Viago then what's even the point of this movie.

You know what would be a cool pitch? You know how Ali is Muslim?

Make Blade Muslim. There could be a totally awesome scene like in the x-men when shadowcat fights a demon that has infiltrated the x-mansion and she tries to hit it with the cross but it doesn’t work because she doesn’t believe in it and then it touches her Star of David and it works. They could do that with blade but with a holy Islamic object or something

I really want to see if it's possible for Ghost Rider to cross over with the films if the Blade reboot does well.

Also, the villain needs to be Dracula.

Also, Michael Jai White should direct

Maybe after Cottonmouth died he became a vampire and came back as Blade.

Wait a minute, Ali played the villain in Luke Cage? Damn, that's cold.
