She spent years whining over her own mutant powers but enjoyed playing 'Supergirl' with Ms. Marvel's powers. Then Sage just fixes it for her in Extreme X-Men. She has this pathetic on-off relationship with Gambit that can't even reach Arthurian levels.

For me personally its Storm it was surprising for the time to bring in a black superheroine but storm is one of marvels greatest heroes IMO male or female if there was a queen of marvel it would probably be her beutiful and powerful sometimes Xman leader and mother figure to the team. Anyone remember the old battle with the Brood? it was storm they wanted to implant with a queen egg that says it all for me.

II would like to see marvel do a story where its just the women a bit like the old sega megadrive game X-women.

Now this is looks fun. Tooth and fire.

Her comic book isn't bad, actually. It's not a must read or anything, but it's a solid superhero book.

So I've heard. She always strikes me as annoying when I see her in other series, though, so I've never had much incentive to pick it up.

Not as much because she wasn't being shoved down my throat the way she is now. Marvel seems to be actively trying to make people see her as the #1 female hero in the Marvel universe, which I find annoying. It's more the artifice of her promotion that I dislike than anything specifically intrinsic to her. If Marvel would just cool its jets a little and actually show her earning the top female hero spot, rather than putting her in everything and giving her all the top jobs to basically tell me that she's the top female hero, I might get interested and find things to like about her. As it stands, I'm mostly just sick of the fact that Marvel's beating me over the head with her more every month.

I don't know if it's Marvel that's trying to make her into the #1 superhero in the MU so much as it's her wish to become the #1 superhero in the MU. I thought that was the point of House of M. It woke her up and made her realize what she can be if she finally puts forth the effort.

And if I'm not mistaken, those Busiek stories were during the period in her life when she was battling alcoholism. She probably wasn't at her best.

I never read House of M. The Busiek stories were about her battle with alcoholism, which was a decent subplot. I kind of liked her then, although she still seemed like kind of a jerk with entitlement issues.

Anyway, I don't read Ms. Marvel and I just dropped Mighty Avengers and New Avengers, so I shouldn't be seeing her anymore. My life should be much more peaceful now, unless she branches out into other series.

Dropping Mighty and New Avengers is definitely on the road to a peaceful existence.

The alcoholism was a stretch for me. Her super metabolism makes it hard for her to become drunk. But her *****y attitude under Busiek was understandable because she's had her life ruined ever since Marcus and the Avengers were rarely any help.

However, what Busiek never answered was how she was able to regain her lost emotions to her old friends. Rogue stole them and Xavier only resurrected carbon copies. How she acted towards the Avengers shouldn't have been the same.

Maybe they just came back over time. The full ramifications of Rogue's power on her victims are pretty ill-defined.

I'm worried that I might have a relapse when Doom shows up in MA. I love Doom, and I know on a conscious level that that's even more reason not to read it because Bendis will likely just butcher him, but I see Doom on a comic cover and I immediately want it. It's gonna be rough. :(

Actually, if he put himself in Doom's shoes and reined in the cursing, he'd probably do a good job. Who better to do justice to the ultimate egomaniac, right? ;)

If Rogue put more effort in testing and controlling her powers we'd know early on. Since Cody is dead we'll never know if he would have woken up eventually.
