Until it becomes a series, we can discuss and share info and pictures in here. :D

Thanks! Hopefully some more news trickles out. I wonder how this will impact Hunter and Bobbi's involvement in AoS.

I hope Mockinbird's costume gets more distinctive and moves closer to the comic version than a AoS modified outfit.

I have to say I would rather both characters just stayed on AOS, I prefer them there.

Eh, AoS is getting too crowded to keep all of the regulars on. Every regular from Season 2 is set to return, at least two characters are being upped to regular status, and there are multiple new characters on the way. Buffy mixed up the cast of regulars somewhat often, and that turned out well.

I'm really not keen on the characters this show are supposed to centre on. The whole thing feels a waste of money that would be better spent on funding Agent Carter.

This is what I hope for. They must be able to make a version of it that can contain white. I can't believe that it is impossible for that colour to look good. Even if she has a white top (like she's worn before) with a kind of jacket over it, it would be preferable to this dull, generic dark blue and grey jumpsuit she has.

Even Black Canary's costume in Arrow (worn by Caity Lotz) was more similar to a classic Mockingbird. And now she has a white costume in Legends of Tomorrow. So there must be a way to make Bobbi's outfit look better.

And I also hope her fighting becomes faster and the choreography better overall. When she has used those sticks, she has seemed rather slow on her feet, particularly the first time when she was saving Jemma Simmons from that Hydra base while undercover. Caity Lotz's Canary was so much faster with her sticks and more acrobatic.

It's possible that the white wouldn't fit in the context of her being a SHIELD agent, but as a superhero I have no doubt that it would. We do see a shade of white in Captain America's uniforms, after all.

I dunno why it wouldn't fit into being a SHIELD agent either. It's not like they have a dress code or something.

What they said though was that white didn't look as good on screen which I can't fathom why. Arrow tries to be a darker show and they had China White show up and she didn't look bad at all. And now White Canary.

I do hope they give Mockingbird her classic suit in this season.

If this show airs after Civil War has been released then I think it's most likely plot would be something like Thunderbolts. Lance and Bobbi leading a team of apprehended former evil-doers is not a bad concept. It's not like the concept will be really explored on film within the MCU but Civil War and registration sets up the concept perfectly. And Bobbi and Lance don't really fit if AoS is going in a more super-powered direction.

I'm intrigued.

Yeah I'm thinking that would be the plan. I'd think Bobbi and Hunter would be more or less bounty hunters than the hunted tho

"Lance and Bobbi leading a team of apprehended former evil-doers is not a bad concept"

Who said anything about Lance and Bobbi being hunted? They would be the leaders, the ones reporting to whomever. I don't really expect the former baddies to like checking in and filling out paperwork. Lance and Bobbi are overseeing the group.

I wonder....

If the show doesn't get picked up, does the pilot count as canon?

Hmmmm.....

Only if they actually release the pilot, I'd say. If it's filmed but unused it's more like an alternate scene on a film that went unused. Carol flying in as a new Avenger isn't canon even though Whedon filmed the plates for such a scene.

Unless the pilot is absolute garbage, I think that the chances of it getting at least one season are pretty good. Heck they might even pull an Agent Carter and make it a "in-between" miniseries or something.

I'm hoping they air it over the summer. There is NOTHING on over the summer that I enjoy.

Since the pilot is currently filming, I guess it's safe to assume the two characters won't be prominately featured during the first couple of episodes of AoS. They're currently filming the 4th episode, so I expect Bobbi and Lance to be MIA for that one.

There are strong practical reasons why original dramas are not released over the summer. I agree it would be cool to have year-round Marvel at that time slot. But it would almost certainly be making less money.

I agree with this but with On Demand viewing the demand for new content is year-round. This move may also reflect the demographic of the audience. Foe example, just because the program could air during the summer won't keep me from watching it. If viewership stays solid, advertising dollars should stay strong as well. Summer or Winter, eyes are eyes.

I guess the thing I'm most curious about is what the margins are for these properties on Netflix and television and do the films help prop up the laggards? To boil it down further, is Marvel in it for the art or the cash money? This is the wrong thread to ask this question but it is entirely relevant to the future of this property and others.
