No. You just misinterpreted what I posted. Sort of. lawl.

It's very hard to do a story with multiplayer![]()
I don't think anyone suggested that it wouldn't have a story.
Given "action" is what sells (and Bioware will quite happily bend over and spread if it means a larger audience), it's wouldn't be surprising if they focus more on pew! pew! pew!
I actually think that's exactly the type of game this is going to be. Something more akin to a Call of Duty or Battlefield, or even Halo: Reach as you alluded to earlier. And there's nothing wrong with that.
As long as Mass Effect 3 retains the core "Mass Effect" role-playing experience, then I'll be thrilled if EA and Bioware want to expand the franchise by delving into other types of games. And furthermore, I think extending Mass Effect's reach into different genres would be a really smart move for the longterm viability of the series, both financially and creatively.
Also, there's really no need to call Bioware's integrity into question.
Assuming this isn't Mass Effect 3, I have to wonder if Bioware is developing it or if it's from another EA developer.

That faster style is what they want to hook Fable fans with, what they think even a Borderlands fan might dig.

But, but NOOOO. You arent supposed to make money in the games industry. You are only supposed to please the gamers, NOT MAKE MONEY!
Depends on you're viewpoint. A lot of people enjoyed Halloween back in 1978. Cheap to make and a financial success. This ultimately came to the horror genre aping it in a copy paste manner until teen slashers were predominantly mainstream horror movies.
Action sells, so everything is going to have more boom boom. This will regardless of how I feel as meaningless minority, please the majority of people and probably sell quite well.
I know there isn't, they have none.
I know there's been a bit of backlash on the FORUMS about Dragon Age 2 but places like that never represent the actual masses, every dev forum I've ever been to has been a pit of negativity and condemnations.
New Bioware clue is a red herring
There's something fishy about a new clue from BioWare regarding the identity of its unannounced new game, and we mean that quite literally.
The latest in a long line of binary codes posted on the publisher's Facebook page links to an image of a red herring.
So to recap, the following things all relate somehow to the Mass Effect studio's next title, due to be revealed at the Spike VGA event this weekend:
55.845 – the atomic weight of iron
The temperature -128.5˚ Fahrenheit
The British Secret Intelligence Service – otherwise known as MI6
The cover of an album by The Clash
A red herring
It also may or may not be Mass Effect 3, depending on whether you're inclined to believe loose-lipped Russians.
Hands up if you think this is all getting a bit silly now. BioWare, just tell us already.
It's Jade Empire 2.

The image, which you can see right here, depicts crosshairs from a first-person perspective. Shockingly, as you look closer, you realise they are aimed squarely at a seemingly defenceless woman - reaching out to a fallen child.
The US source that leaked the image to CVG told us: "I won't spoil it for everyone by telling you what the game is. But it's going to have a lot of hardcore BioWare fans jumping out of their seats."
CVG approached EA and asked if the game to be revealed on Sunday at this year's VGAs was part of the Mass Effect canon.
The publisher conceded that the image was a still from the trailer but would "not comment on rumour and speculation" surrounding the exact nature of the game.
