Hmm, I didn't know that Hudson is writing the script. This could turn out great now that I think of it.

Hopefully we get to more about the project at Comic-Con, such as what the story will be about and whether or not Shepard is the protagonist in it.

Cool that Hudson is also writing the script, I guess they are really trying to move forward with this. Just don't make Shepard the protagonist and make a new plot for the movie. There's so much potential of a new adventure with a new protagonist since the ME universe is so rich.

Shep has to be in it for general audience purposes really. maybe not everyone, but many people know shepard is the main character...even people who havent played. and not many people have read the books.

atleast they are working closely with bioware...budget is going to have to be pretty good... the concept is too cool to not put a alot into it...Star trek meets avatar meets star wars meets 007.

We are legitimately getting a ME film? Because I'm stoked.

I'm not surprised that Shepard will be a male in the movie, but I'm still not clear about the direction they're going with the story. It's said that the movie will be a completely new story, but at Comic-Con the screenwriter said that the movie will be based on the first game.

So that's a bit confusing, but hopefully they reveal more details concerning the story soon.

depends, could essentially go with the angle of "pitch black" or something like that with a stand alone story that does not dive into the whole grand flow of the galaxy.

Uh yeah no. The first Pitch Black was a low budget borderline sci-fi B movie and it was rated R. Chronicles of Riddick was a hundred million dollar movie and it bombed.

And LEGENDARY talked about the massive universe and mythos of the franchise. LEGENDARY isn't going to make a small "standalone movie."

Both ME 1 & 2 featured male Shepard in their box art and promos, so I think going with his story in the movie is a smart decision. I also don't think omitting Shepard would be wise, because the games are played through his POV.

i wouldnt mind the movie being like the CGI in the recent ME3 trailer... but a live action movie would be awesome to see...assuming its done right. If only James Cameron could go back in time and do ME instead of avatar lol
