That manifesto, not surprisingly, was just bonkers. He says he has nothing personal against Hispanics but calls them invaders. He goes on about his guns. He says so many races have contributed to America but doesn't want them mixing.

I think we all know somebody, whether a family member or random acquaintance who has similar views but not to that extreme, which is what is disturbing in and of itself.

But neither of these guys fell in that category...on the surface, so how would you find them to keep the guns out of their hands? We will have to properly diagnose mental health and those who pose a threat. Or we have to go big brother and start monitoring what websites we all visit and all of our social media. The only way to know whether or not someone is trouble.

I've posted this elsewhere, but my state, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, has common sense gun laws which have played a major role in our consistently having the lowest gun death rates in the nation. This ain't rocket science.

No other country in the world has to deal with regular mass shootings, and it's not because Muricans are playing too many levels of Candy Crush. The problem is fixable if we ever decide to fix it.

That's a pretty solid policy. Make people jump through lots of hoops, and most will decline to even bother.

You always find some vague talk from them that might sound somewhat Left of center or rage against popular targets that happen to be boogie men for both the average Occupy Wall Street type and somebody that went to tea party rallies. But in the end almost to a man they end up voicing the same far right conspiracy fueled xenophobic white supremacist fragile resentful nonsense.

I really hate to play that card but let me as a non-white kid in school make a list of people I wanna shoot. Not only would they expel me, but I'd be in cuffs before lunch.

People are WAY to tolerant of white nationalist ideology.

The ideology and people who push it should be treated the same way we treat domestic Islamic extremists who push violent jihadist ideology.

People who are spouting stuff about murdering minorities should certainly be on some kind of watchlist.

I think catching them is more tricky because they tend to be more lone wolf terrorists and are radicalized online at their homes.
