Fantasy Masters of the Universe - Part 3

Sure we all want them, but do kids today want them?
Something doesn’t necessarily have to have current popularity with the kids of today in order to make the movie successful. Movies are often used to re-introduce these properties to a new generation, and gain newer and younger fans. Make a cool & appealing movie and kids will be interested and converted.

Well, they wouldn't be for kids today. If they make it the right way, all those properties have huge potential.

In the Wisest words ever said: "**** them kids" XD
I want them and i have more Money than those damn Kids. XD

Not sure if this stuff could be sold to kids, but you can definitly sell it to Adults who liked it back in the day.
But i could see a "modern" take on stuff like Thundercats interesting Kids nowadays too.

Andrew Garfield?

Best Actor Oscar nomination, critically acclaimed work with Martin Scorsese, upcoming musical with Lin Manuel Miranda? Yeah, lots of harm.
Yeah for real, Garfield's career tract hasn't been that dissimilar from actors who maintained successful franchise roles, like Pattinson for one. Still can't say if He-Man would've worked out for Noah, but as an IP MOTU hasn't been exploding with box-office potential the way Batman or Spidey have.

Yeah Batman and Spidey will always be popular and the movies will rake in cash if they are good. He-Man is a bit more of a nostalgia thing for people who grew up in the 80s. I think it could potentially be a hit but it would take the right cast and a good script.

Although He-Man is a nostalgia thing, it doesn't mean that if there were a movie that came out that did well that it couldn't popularise it again.

For many in the general audience, they hadn't heard of the likes of Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Avengers and many others in the MCU. These were entirely brand new characters, even though they had been around for 50+ years. But with the films, this brought in an entirely new audience, and I'm sure brought many new fans even to these boards who had never read a comic, watched a cartoon or played with action figures in their lives before.

So Masters of the Universe could be a brand new franchise for audiences of today, but also a big nostalgia trip for those who were into it back in the 80s.

I don’t think the film will actually happen but if it’s going to it’s gonna come down to the success of the two upcoming Netflix shows.

Man, I guess I have to be content with the fact that I’ll never get to see a good Masters Of The Universe live-action movie.

Oh well, at least the new cartoon looks good.

The “I have the power!” line needs a little more bass but I’m glad the designs look faithful and better than the 2002 version.

Guy they cast looks a little too young but okay let’s see what they come up with.

Makes sense it goes to Netflix because of their MOTU content.

Also he's skinny... but maybe they're not going for the bodybuilder look, because there's no way he can bulk up in time to be like classic He-Man. Or maybe they'll give him a muscle suit or something. Or he's just Adam...

He's also 5' 8"

He's also 5' 8"

Well get ready for people having another meltdown over a He-Man project :oldrazz:

I can't imagine he's actually going to be He-Man... unless they're going for something completely different. It's on Netflix so I'll check it out anyway. Even if it's garbage :D

We'll see how this goes. Hopefully it has better production values than Death Note.

Please, his height isn't an issue. Just ask Tom Cruise.

He'll just need an apple box.
