Mattchew's Fanart Thread...

I like the way the spikes are.. It looks right to me..

I think Le Diable Blanc is right, just because I tend to the of the spikes being on the side of the pinkie finger.

Hehe I hope I didn't sound like I was bossing you around ;)

GET OFF MY BACK! haha... jk. No, I actually completely missed that, so again, thanks!

I think it needs a background.
Just joking around. looks great so far.

Looking good, can't wait to see it finished.

Thanks!

Eureka! The missing piece of the puzzle! ;)

---------------------------------------------------------

Here's an update...

Ivy went on a diet, got some skimpier underwear, and a foot. Batman's arm spikes got switched.

Most importantly, Harley's update... added the diamonds to her costume, but I also redid the jester thing on her head...

I was wondering which Harley head people like better? Thoughts?

Nice! I like the new Ivy. And Bats looks better now ;)

Not to boss you around again :oldrazz: this is just a suggestion, but I always liked when Harley's jester things on her head were bigger in the comics. So I'd make them even bigger than in the first one. I dunno what you think though, this is a matter of taste.

An Ivy update...

Here's a near-final on her. Some cheanges to her hair, added the flower, and obviously I added shading and details to her suit.

The colors are still a bit intense, but that's intentional... They will be desaturated a bit once the whole thing is put together.

Let me know what you think!

^^Hottie.

Thanks! What I was going for! :)

----------------

Update on Harley... No real changes, other than shading an a bit or texture on her suit...

Thoughts?

Again, hottie!

I love your style. Especially knees and lips.

The shading really gives her a much more eye-pleasing, slick look. I like how you combined the cartoonish character design with the realistic colors. Very nice!

looking good so far mattchew, how much time have you invested in it so far?

Thanks... I love to do knobby knees, only because I have REALLY knobby knees.

Thanks! The shading and highlights is my favorite part, so I'm glad you like it!

I like Robin's hair :yay:

Thanks... haven't had a chance to shade him yet, so I hope it will turn out cool.

Loads of time in doing the outlines in black. shading and all that varies... ivy took a long time, harley and catwoman were simple (except for catwoman's stitches!)

Last post.. then bed.

Catwoman update...

Added another arm. Added patches to her suit, and stitches. Also did shading... I did some soft shading (like on ivy) but added hard highlights and shadows to try to convey a more reflective surface to the material that makes up her costume...

As always, let me know what you think!

Woohoo, love Catwoman! The arm is really great.

Ivy and Harley look great too.

I never really liked the BR design for Catwoman (too S 'n M and gothic for me), but I think it totally works here. It gives her an edgy look without becoming too serious, which is one of the problems I had with Burton's Catwoman.

Besides, it simply looks cool with all the grey tones.

There goes my favorite Catwoman.

Impressive.

I agree with everyone else here man your stuff is pretty impressive!! You should make you own comic!!

Oh.My.God. I'm love with that Catwoman. And the Ivy. Damn your work is great. How do you do the final black outlines? Just on paper and then enhancing contrasst on PS or is there Photoshop involved on the process?

Thanks! While I do looooooove my catwoman crazy and messed up, i appreciate the complement!

I'm not that creative really... I think it would be the most boring comic ever! ;) .... But thanks!

its the ***** of the process... I do it on paper and than recreate it PAINSTAKINGLY with the lasso toll in PS... it helps that I'm semi-obsessive compulsive and that I NEEEEED it look by that clean looking.

... awe-some.

thank-you. :)
