Seriously other than actors and directors, how often is other members of the production crew confirmed by trades and or studios? Not often you may as well look up on IMDB they're not lying about crew members.

Well, that sucks, but I still like his work. At least he made things clear.

Now, that expectations are high, WB will have to find a competent cinematographer for this movie.

 

Eh, I bet they already have a DP. Scouting locations are usually done with the DP, but we never get a Dp announcement for the most part. The DP for Monster was Steven Bernstein.

 

It's possible Patty may want someone else or be 'encouraged' to hire a DP who likes to shoot film. I was surprised David Ayer went back to 35mm with Fury and then with Suicide Squad.

But it's disappointing Hoyte isn't filming WW. His work is incredible.

Also, I think WB may want a British DP since most of WW will be filmed in the UK anyway. Roger Pratt, anyone?

Now hold up, before this thread is closed how credible is this guy and his blog anyway? i mean for all we know he could be lying about meeting him in the first place.

Because at the end of the day i trust trades over blogs any day.

 

Ugh. It's going to be really hard not being disappointed with whomever they end up signing. Damn shame.

 

As i said previously castings' of crew members other than directors aren't announced by the trades. So unless WB/Patty herself come out and say who the DP is we won't know until production start's. You can look on IMDB though. They update movies with crew members.

I know it's almot impossible but remember when Zimmer did the same thing with the OST for MOS? I know... impossible, but...

Bradford Young is a great up and coming DP who did Selma and A Most Violent Year. Which looked great by the way.

 

Any women DP with a good resume?

 

Amy Vincent has lensed most of Craig Brewer's movies like Black Snake Moan, Footloose and Hustle & Flow. Her most recent pic was Sinister 2.

Then there's the talented Mandy Walker. She lensed Red Riding Hood -- the camerawork was stunning. She's also done Australia, which really took advantage of the natural scenic beauty. She's a stickler for film -- if she thinks there's room in the budget for it, she'll push for it rather than digital.

 

Just get Lubeski and be done with it. No one better.

 

He just finished shooting The Revenant for an extra 4 months in the middle of no where. That dude will need a rest.

 

Lubezki isn't so easy to get.
