@juanmies Definitely didn't report it. Probably some rumor a fan got from Production Weekly or something. Would've been cool...

Like a father seeing their kids make mistakes..I welcome you back with open arms and forgive you.

Charlotte Bruus Christensen might be a good out of the box pick. The Hunt in particular was an absolutely great looking film.

The Hunt was fantastic! I like yo style.

Just pick the right person for the job... male or female.

I'm all for women empowerment but getting women on the crew just for the sake of it doesn't sit right with me. Sorry.

I'd agree except women make up over half the population. To me, it's ludicrous to think that out of all the very talented women in Hollywood, they couldn't find an amazing female director and DP and crew members. Not to mention, misogynystic policies have strongly favored men in Hollywood for a 100 yrs. So, there's that.

About time women get real opportunities on what might be a huge tentpole. I just think this specific project lent itself to getting as many gifted women behind the camera as possible.

We aren't really going to ***** everytime someone from production says they're looking for females are we? I mean there's a male screenwriter they're obviously not only doing women just for the sake of it.

Now that you asked, we probably will. Bi**hing is what we do and we do it best. :word:

And you never know... Jason Fuchs might as well pull a Caitlyn Jenner on us. :o

There are lots of awesome female editors and DPs out there.

If I recall, J.J. Abrams' go-to editors are Maryann Brandon and Mary Jo Markey (they cut every one of his features)... they are fantastic.

I don't think it's sexist for the production to hire as many female crew members as possible, provided they are as qualified as the men applying for positions.

Hell, Paul Feig did something similar with Ghostbusters -- he posted an Instagram pic of all the women working on the film -- and he hired a LOT.

Everybody is entitled to their opinion but I love what Snyder said about hiring as many talented women as possible. It sits real well with me.

Producer Deborah Snyder mentioned that for WW, they're hiring as many female crew members as they can.

I'm sure we'll get a talented female DP for this.

Good. The "best person for the job" thing gets tossed around (not aiming this at you Pfieffer-Pfan, to be clear) a lot but I feel it misses the point often as the "best person" tends to be from the same talent pool of people who (through no fault of their own) are often given chances that female and minority directors are not. Deliberately casting a wider net to look for people who tend to not get those opportunities can only be a good thing as it helps expand that talent pool and gives chances to those that may not get them otherwise because of, whether intentional or not, biased hiring practices.

And once again, I'm going to plug Charlotte Bruus Christensen because I really want her on one of these. :o

Yeah, the people who get upset when they aim to get women or minorities on board... they're full of it. Finding the best person for the job is a cute idea, but you know what? 9,999 times out of 10,000, it just means getting another white guy. Unless there are people making an actual effort to give opportunities to groups that would otherwise get none, then nothing will ever change.

I love you so much.:yay:

Sawyer's on point.

He understands women so well....

Deborah Snyder seems like a cool lady.

I hope we get a group pic like the ghostbusters crew.

I pray for the day where 70mm is mainstream.

Next thing we will hear (from I'net) is that get the best actor for the role like WW, it doesn't matter if it's male or female, 'cause just thinking about females is really limiting ourselves and being politically correct for the sake of bing pc. :oldrazz:

So, the imdb guy who first confirmed the italy locations and being shot on film, he says that Hoyt is the dp. Hmmm.
