Every time I see that pic I laugh because someone mentioned he's looking right into the camera.

haha, i know, thats what got me too. he's looking right in the camera and he's shooting off in this totally different direction.Every time I see that pic I laugh because someone mentioned he's looking right into the camera.

Max Payne takes place at night during aseemingly endless snowstorm, and contains many references to Ragnarok, the Norse end of the world, during which the world is swallowed by snow and darkness. One of the levels takes place in a night club called Ragna Rock. While inside of Ragna Rock, Max comes across a book entitled The Age of Murder and Storm, which mentions "Norse mythos and Ragnarok". Max himself wears a Sun crossOdin, known for his prowess in battle. pendant, the symbol of the chief Norse god
Many of the characters and objects in the game are named after Norse gods; the drug that forms the basis of the plot is called Valkyr, after the goddesses who brings slain heroes to Valhalla, a name given to another location in the game.
This is going to blow hard. Mark "Can't Act Unless it's The Departed" Wahlberg
When you get to certain parts in the script its actually Valkryies (Norse Mythology winged beast things) which are actually hallucinations caused by the drug thus why the name of the drug, Valkyr. Hope that clears it up.
In the game there are brief references to Norse Mythology:

I'm not really a game guy, and never played this, so I can represent the General Audience for this thread. And, I REALLY liked that trailer. It has very cool visual style that I find appealing aesthetically, and the movie looks like it's going to be good, and I'm a fan of Wahlberg's so this is going on my must see list.
