I don't think that I've made myself clear enough to certain people with a deficiency in basic comprehension. This is something that should have permeated certain individuals' minds a long long time ago, like over a decade ago, but how about leaving me out of conflicts that are not mine to begin with? I really don't care about the decades old tug-o-war going on and want nothing to do with it at all. What I want is to have a normal, uneventful, unexciting yet 100% totally fulfilling life with or without a decent man by my side without all this unproductive outside influence and intrusion mucking everything up. I'm being asked to choose sides in something that I want no part in at all because i never started it. Choosing sides hasn't helped anyone in my family at all and it won't help me at all yet nobody is seeing the harm it's doing, and concerning one camp they really don't give a crap that it's doing no one, not them, not the other camp and especially not me any good. How in the universe do you get through to such people with thick skulls who just won't listen to a thing you're saying that their little petty, ego driven dispute is causing more harm than good? We all need to forget everything, wipe our minds, start with clean slates with absolutely no reminders of people from the past who remind us of it in order to be free. What I'm saying is that I'm only interested in associating with new people, not old ones unless it's my friends from High School whom I haven't seen in decades. That means stop stalking me and let me have a normally developing relationship with new, like minded people and perhaps even the right guy this time.

Want a new, fullfilling yet boring experience with new people so you can forget the past people you know/knew and get away from all your troubles? Frickin' move and don't talk at all. See how much things improve from this venture.

Permeated is a great word. It has "meat" in it.
That it fdoes, my friend. That it does.

Oh man...this Vanilla Coke I am enjoying reminds my brain of Tobacco and dip...

Blast you Coke for only making it available in limited supply. Wal-Mart and Food-Lion hardly carry it, when they do, only 2 or 4 cases of the 12 pack are out.

i got a kindle fire today yay! i'm excited. been working on this for a while now, and got it for free with AMZ gift cards

I really don't understand how. Books aren't like music where you can complete them in a few minutes and might need a wide variety to keep you entertained. Books are long, and I can't think of a situation where you'd need to carry more than one or two at a time.

I love the woody smell of a slightly old book. I like how it feels in my hand, solid and real unlike the delicate and weightless e-reader. I like keeping track of how far I've advanced in the book and how much I have to go with my bookmark. I like sitting at a park-bench and leafing through something that isn't some electronic device. Even if it's just for a short while. I feel like I'm a slave to electronics these days and it really, really bugs me.

Plus, the Kindle/Nook/whatever sucks with pictures.

The Weis market here didn't have it for awhile, but they seem to have it back out in cans. We get a case of it every now and then.

I used to love vanilla coke. But I drank so much that now the sight of it makes me sick.

:up::up:

I love books too. The feel of them, the smell. I've had good times reading books that I feel would not have been as fun with screen, like reading the first three Song of Ice and Fire books in the field outside my dorm. You can't replace reading thousand page books with an inch thick device. It just doesn't feel right.

It's a good, sweet drink, however I prefer it in the Vanilla Coke Zero variety. Every once in a while I'll try the regular flavor too.

I can't speak for picture quality, but I also prefer to have the actual book. Some have really nice covers and look good on my shelf.

Speaking of books, I just found out that Wizards of the Coast cancelled their magic: the gathering novel lines. :csad:

I found the Fire experience to be so so. :( I have a hard time surfing on it, the touch is too sensitive.

LOL, have you ever read The Dome by Stephen King? You need a frikken truck to haul that thing. I'd rather have an eBook for that one, lol. :p

Can you tell me how you like it after you've had some time with it: Either in this thread or PM?

I've been thinking about getting one for a few weeks now, but I'm not sold on it yet. I want it mainly for comics and an e-reader, but I'm also thinking of getting an extremely cheap tablet just for comics, and then getting a regular Kindle for books, because I like the e-ink. Still can't decide if I should just get the Fire, though....

I used to make that exact argument, but I'm also looking over at my three bookshelves that are filled/crammed with books. It would be nice to free up some clutter, and not have to worry about having to get another bookshelf for future purchases. ;)
