Megatron must be in the sequel

Starscream should go back to Cybertron and claim leadership, leading a task force of Decepticons to destroy Earth.

Isn't Cybertron destroyed? All of the Autobots/Decepticons are in space or on different planets or stars...stated during Optimus Prime's final speech.

I couldn't care less about Starscream. Shockwave would kick his ass (in the comic book at least). He's the closest to being an equivalent to Megatron. But, then I guess all that old canon is out the door anyway.

Isn't it odd that for some reason, all the big baddies only turn into guns? Megatron? Gun. Shockwave? Gun. Haha, glad to know at least Starscream never started out as a gun...but, I'd rather have Starscream become the new leader, then have Shockwave, and if there was a showdown between the two, Starscream better win...out of all three, Starscream is the kind of Decepticon that always uses tricks and what not instead of brute force.

But Megs will be back...your answer does sound like the best...have the whole movie revolving them find Megatron from the depths of the sea, and then Megatron comes to kick some Autobot a, which I say, kills another Autobot, hopefully. Or two.

Be cool if they had like some sort super tank or stealth bomber appear during the final battle scene and have transform into the newly revived Megatron. And kind of end of the movie on an Empire strikes back note where the Decepticons severly kick the Autobots asses.

No it just hasn't much energy left because of the war. Like in the toon Megatron may have left a taskforce there to 'hold the fort' till he got back. (Alright so the taskforce consisted of Shockwave and a few drones...in the film they could expand it to more than just one Transformer who we know)

Maybe so but Starscream is the Decepticon who wishes to rule and get rid of Megatron, therefore he should claim leadership. Shockwave is more obedient and so may send Soundwave to investigate the 'truth' of Megatron's 'death'.
