Got to say, as a huge lover of Ancient Greek history and mythology, I am really looking forward to this.
Totally agree with you. So much potential.Weird, I recently just finished rereading the Odyssey. Looking forward to seeing how this pans out, I'm surprised more hasn't been done with Greek Mythology lately, there's plenty of stories to draw from.
more like oldysseus
Indeed.Looking forward to this one!
We haven't really had a good version of this, so I'm interested.
Agreed. I know Troy was more or less forgotten as soon as it was released, but I still enjoyed it and would have loved to see him return to the role.Still would've loved one with Sean Bean.
I thought it was fine, but had wished they kept in the gods and other mythology in it. That stuff would've been more fun, I think.Agreed. I know Troy was more or less forgotten as soon as it was released, but I still enjoyed it and would have loved to see him return to the role.
It is kinda odd we haven't gotten more of these. Not Clash of the Titans remakes but actual adaptations.

Not that odd really. Hollywood is Hollywood and is focusing on what they think is safe franchises that they know will make money. I mean, when was the last time this kind of movie was a huge box office-hit?
This will bomb just like every other recent movie starring Gibson and then we’ll all ask ourselves why we keep giving this racist wifebeater second chances until they announce his next starring role.
I'm automatically interested because of Mel Gibson and the subject matter. Don't know if it'll be successful but I don't really care as long I just enjoy the film myself
