Yea, I think it'll get a nice healthy run throughout June. Almost at 500 mil WW, hoe it makes as much money as possible over this month.
i dont know if it will do enough domestically to get another sequel i think they will reboot it down the roadThe wife was out for the count this afternoon courtesy a migraine, so I went and caught this to get out of the house. Boy am I glad I did. Such a pleasant surprise, I'd rank it right up there with the first, maybe higher. I knew about the script issues, particular with plot holes regarding time travel, but it seemed like they were either fixed or overstated. I really liked the buildup to the 'event' that changed K, and was surprised what it was. I really liked how this movie tied into the first, and really showcased a deeper bond between K and J. I actually was very choked up watching the scene on the Cape Canaviral beach, and hadn't anticipated it.
As far as some of the core franchise elements, I thought they were on display in top form.aliens, gadgets, humor - they were all there, oh so much more than in the second film. The only thing that was out of place for me was the insertion of Agent O. Seemed a little forced, but I very much enjoy Alice Eve, so I didn't mind. I liked Boris as the villain, and Griffin was a solid emotional grounding rod for J's arc. Bill Hader and Will Arnett were both nice surprises as well.
Overall, I'd give this movie somewhere between an 8.5 and a 9. I'm curious if this installment will be analogous to Mission: Impossible III, as far as keeping the franchise alive.
Thundercrack hating something, excuse me while I put on my shocked faceI'm still amazed by the sheer amount of plot holes in this film.
I think this may the most plot hole ridden movie of all time.
