I did a search and couldn't find anything, so I made a thread. I never read any Metal Men stuff but this sounds/looks cool. It is by Duncan Rouleau with ideas and concepts by Grant Morrison. 8 issue limited series...starts in August.

I'm not a big fan of Rouleau's art, but I'm really looking forward to this. I'll probably wait for the trade, though.

I said I was gonna wait for the trade...but it's a light week, so I'll go ahead and grab it. I'm so F**king weak. :(

I'm kind of not so much really looking forward to it.

I hope they play them for more than just lols.

Tin, Mercury, Platinum, Iron, Lead, Gold... and some other one. Although I think there used to be a Vanadium, but that was Doc himself. O something. I don't even know anymore.

The Metal Men were always pretty neat, though.

The new female is Copper... I think they should add Magnesium, Silver and Cobalt too.

Yeah, seeing how the Doc is somewhat psycho right now, or that he possibly activated him, I can see him housing him.

Without the meds, he was actually HAPPY to construct a completed Plutonium Man.

Titanium would be a good addition as well.

If the art inside is the same as this cover, then I'm definitely going to love it. My only exposure to the Metal Men was 52, and I must say I'm definitely interested in this.

I like to give everything a fair shake, but this book was awful. They took out the best part about the Metal Men: their very consistent personalities. Yeah, Gold was still a strong Leader, but Tin, Mercury, Lead and Tina were all interchangeable. I looked forward to what the writer/artist would do with Copper, but who cares. The characters aren't being written as individuals, so she's just another robot.

Dropped.

I don't know about SonOfCthulhu's taste, but the fact that GAH hated it makes me love the first issue even more. I'm looking forward to what else Rouleau comes up with.
