BvS Metallo and Lex Luthor in Batman vs. Superman

As the DC Cinematic Universe's second movie titled Batman Vs. Superman is yet to go into production before theater release in summer 2015, Warner Bros. is now on debut of the film's villains

So far Callan Mulvey (300: Rise of an Empire and Captain America: The Winter Soldier) was reported to play the main villain of the potential film. Rumors say that he was going to play Lex Luthor, but more recent reports suggest that he would portray the cyborg supervillain who is among the Man of Steel's most anticipative adversaries better known as

Metallo


It may not have been confirmed yet but with recent reports pin pointing Lex Luthor to be depicted as an african american in the films, there is a slight possibility that Callen Mulvey's role will in fact be Metallo.

I for instance hope Zach Snyder does confirm that rumor true because of many of the Superman movies and tv shows seen so far, Lex Luthor has been the most common villain ever seen in them and having him act as the main villain in this upcoming film would be just too predictable and because Luthor is Superman's arch enemy, he is very much a key character and is likely to return for future installments in the DC Cinematic Universe.



So sure enough if Metallo is confirmed for the Batman vs Superman movie as the main villain, then Lex Luthor would in fact appear as the one who creates the villain with the resources his company can provide for Mulvey's character to become that supervillain that can take on the Man of Steel plus it be a great idea to see how the villain can take on the hero in the films if there won't be any kryptonite involved plus he'll make a perfect foe for both Superman(Henry Cavill) and Batman(Ben Affleck) to take on in this upcoming potential film.

To find out for sure, we just need to wait for Snyder to give us the green light on the characters and then we'll know for sure

Im guessing that means Lex and Doomsday or somebody much more unpredictable.

Lex Luthor's a must for this movie, just because of the story direction they're taking. They could have written it such that they could introduce Luthor much later, but with the direction they've taken, Luthor's the most logical step.

With Superman, Batman AND Wonder Woman I think it would be a bit much to have two new villains. I'd much prefer Lex to be built up as more of Superman's Big Bad, the way the Mandarin kinda was. If Batman and Superman do go against each other, then Poison Ivy could easily pit them against one another. I'd like to see Brainiac but it might end up a bit similar to MOS with the whole alien invasion thing, Parasite could be interesting. Or maybe just use a Wonder Woman villain to bring her into the film.

I was expecting the villains to be Luthor and Batman. But with Wonder Woman announced, I really have no freaking clue anymore. Could just as easily have Batman and Superman be pals from the beginning with Lex teaming up with Ares and maybe Wonder Woman as an independent agent?

He'd be the Batman side of the villains.

And anyway, it's pretty clear this isn't a Superman movie now. It's a DC universe movie with Superman and Batman as the main characters.

He's an effective villain counterpart to Batman, plus he wouldn't **** his pants when Superman's flying at him. Also, he would be a good way to expand the DCU as he's not just a Batman villain, plus he's the kind of guy Luthor would hire to take out Superman. This is also reinforced by recent rumours that they would want to do Deathstroke and/or Suicide Squad on film so it might be a good platform for them.

You kind of need a "muscle" villain. Lex can be the puppetmaster, but you need a bad guy to actually duke it out with the heroes, especially if Batman AND WW are BOTH here as well. Metallo would be my choice to fill that role.
