Apocalypse Michael Fassbender is Magneto!

Untill they want to do film again with magneto as the main villain they should give him a rest.unfortully based on spoilers i could imagine him as part of X-men in sequel.at least magneto isn't in future ending of DOFP so eather he dies or returns to villainy at some point.

if they wanna do something with magneto then change things up now, no more magneto being back stabber or bad guy, i don't see magneto going into space but i could him setting up something for mutants

Someone mentioned that they should have him trying to overthrow the human leaders of Genosha and ruling it.

That would be interesting imo.

1. I wouldn't want to lose Fassbender cause he's excellent in the role.

2. I'm not advocating for him taking a supporting role in another franchise. I think having Deadpool and Cable road trip to trackdown a dangerous mutant and one of the places they check is Magneto's haven in Genosha or Asteroid M would be a way of opening up the Fox-Xverse without making a whole movie about it.

^That would be sick but who would play him?

Just dye Fassbender's hair white. He'd look dead on like TAS Magneto

Hugh Jackman leaving the Wolverine role could be a blessing in disguise, because FOx would have to focus on the other characters... hopefully Mystique/Magneto will be given a rest after the movie is released everywhere.

Although you can't hear most of the dialogue, there is a new clip of Erik and Apocalypse included in the Good Morning America interview with Michael Fassbender.

I would rather Fassbender hang it up after this, and I don't see where else they could take the character at this time.

His arc is concluded, and frankly where we leave him at, there is no way he could go into comic-arcs like Genosha or Asteroid M.

That's the beauty in his conclusion. He's never going to be the Magneto as portrayed by McKellen because he's healed and able to move on with his life.

His resolution definitely got to me. It was wonderfully done.

He definitely could...he was over the New Mutants for a while. He was also a member of the Hellfire Club as their White King with Storm apparently.

New Mutants+ Storm+Magneto+Hellfire Club (Hellions & return of Emma)= a very interesting movie

Magneto didn't have as many memorable lines this time but that's ok because it gave the younger cast more time to shine. Still, always a fan of magneto. I want to wear my "Magneto was right" shirt to work tomorrow!

"Everything you saw in me, I buried it with my family"

They are bringing him back for the next movie to tackle his son that he didn't know about for decades.

Thanks Quicksilver! :o

After reviews and fan reaction, I would imagine they would hesitate to service many characters.

I love magneto. I love both mckellen and fassy but I do think it's time for him
Step aside as a character. Maybe he'd be good just to develop along side quicksilver but I think it's best to leave his storyline for good.

I think if they could portray him similarly to the reformed version of Magneto from the comics, who has occasionally joined the X-men, then you could have him as the creator of X-force as his take on the X-men. He could be there equivalent to Professor X. It would make for a nice parallel to Prof. X being in New Mutants.

Also there is still the issue of Quicksilver, but that's less about Magneto than it is about Quicksilver connecting with his father.

I thought Magneto was great in this, his arc was the most emotionally charged and Fassbender played it perfectly. I honestly feared for him at the end as well as it seemed Apocalypse was well out of his league when it came to the final confrontation. But yeah his story concluded well.

I love the character and Fassbender is just awesome in the role, but I do think Magneto needs to miss out a movie or 2 for now.

I've always loved Magneto as a character and I love Fassbender, so I'm open to more Magneto, but I can understand people wanting a break from him.

I think they left Magneto in a great place. Fassbender probably gives the best performance out of any comic book movie this year, edging out Ryan Reynolds, RDJ and Chadwick Boseman for me. I'm alright with him taking a break for awhile, this universe seems to be moving on (hopefully).

OMG, OMG, OMG. I just realized. [BLACKOUT]They gave him the forcefield!!!!![/BLACKOUT]

Either way Fassbender was probably one of the best things about Apocalypse not only in terms of his performance but you could actually understand why he would side with Apocalypse but at the same time realizing just how much of a mistake he actually makes in the end

No one would be complaining. It's funnny, if the movie was about anyone, it was about him. Everyone else seemed like a supporting character.

haha oh yeah! dang that was so cool!

Does anyone else think it was a huge mistake...

to give him a family? We knew they were cannon fodder from the second we saw them and as it turns out that was their only purpose.
