Horror Michael Sarnoski’s “A Quiet Place” Spinoff

I finished the first movie Saturday night and just finished the second one this morning. I am going to see Day One in a hour and half from now California time but these films are great at building tension and the family drama of it all holds it together. They be killing me with these endings though lol I mean they know how to leave you hanging.

Just like Pig this is not the movie you expect or is as advertised and we’re all the better for it. Just the plot alone seeing how the alien invasion started and you think it’s going to be a crazy fight to survive (which it is) but it really is just about
two lost Survivors going to get pizza at the end of the world
and I love this movie for that. Also Frodo the cat I love you but you can’t me worrying like that lol. Michael Sarnoski your 2-0 for me keep it up.

Just finished watching it and for the most part enjoyed it.

Characters were good though one of the characters journeys was fairly obvious.

I never expect to...but...I'd love to find out the Death Angels/Happy's origins along with a sequel set sometime in the future where either majority of people have built nations on water or figured out about the high frequency and have been able to create colonies to live.

So many possibilites .

Eric wasn't on that island in AQP2, so I hope we get to find out what happened to him.
I'm willing to bet that Eric and Frodo will be back either in a direct follow up to Day One or even in A Quiet Place 3 crossing paths with Blunt and Murphy's characters. It wouldn't be out of the question since all of these movies so far have taken place in New York state or close to it (can't remember where exactly the island was in Part II).

What are peoples thoughts on the speculation that these creatures were sent to purge Earth to make way for the real Invaders?

That's a theory I can get behind. I like the idea of the creatures being under the control of a more intelligent alien species that were sent to Earth as "living nukes" meant to wipe out all life on the planet without damaging natural resources that they might want to preserve for whatever reason.

Hopefully, I doubt they just leave Eric and Frodo’s story like that.

If they go that route then the franchise definitely has more places to go. Though I maintain what I said in my review that the continued mystery of the Dark Angels is what is keeping them scary so far.

Part of me is hoping that they don't revisit the Abbott family so that they can live out the rest of their lives in peace.

This movie and this cat were so cheesy. Wouldn’t these things running around crashing into stuff make them lose their original point of noise? So cliché, serious, yet cheesy and worst of all boring. Not a fan of this franchise, but thought maybe the day one premise would bring it some new life.

I finally saw this, and I thought it could have been thirty minutes longer. The movie is enjoyable but for some reason, I didn't get enough from the movie. I just don't think this prequel really moved forward the series in a new direction. It felt like a 1 off, and didn't provide anything new about the aliens.

Also, weird, how the 2nd movie is turning 5 next year and the sequel for that don't even a date now?

If this were 30 mins longer, it would have dragged soooooooo badly.

I enjoyed this just as much if not more upon re-watch. However, in hindsight I think they made a little mistake in revealing the dark angels don't eat the humans they kill. That makes them a little less scary in my eyes and also makes me question a little why they run towards noise and kill everything once they get there as they're basically indestructible and have no threat to them.

Maybe the next movie will reveal a bit more.
