Final Shadow of Mordor DLC Arrives

The final batch of DLC for Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor is out now on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Known as The Bright Lord, it gives players a new story campaign with 10 missions set thousands of years before the events of the main game. You play as Celebrimbor and wield the One Ring and face off against Sauron, and you’ll have new abilities at your disposal, including new Elven Archery abilities with a rapid fire bow. New characters skins and a new Challenge mode are also included.

There’s no word yet on when, or if, the DLC will be made available for the PS3 and 360 versions of the game.

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor Game of the Year Edition launching next week

Game and DLC collection exclusive to new-gen and PC.

A “Game of the Year Edition” of Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor will launch for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on May 5 in North America and May 8 in Europe for $49.99, Warner Bros. announced.
The package will feature the base game plus all of the post-release downloadable content, including the “Lord of the Hunt” add-on, “Bright Lord” campaign, and a number of bonus missions, skins, and equippable runes.
The “Game of the Year Edition” will not launch for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Sequel to 2014 Middle-earth game in development?

The iStunt resume for stuntwoman Laura Mary Kim is listing stunt work done for a “Shadows of Mordor 2.”

The first game, Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, was developed by Monolith Productions and launched for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in September 2014, and then for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 two months later.


Publisher Warner Bros. has yet to announce a sequel.

This felt like the first true next gen game I played, with its awesome Nemesis system. I'd love to see a sequel and I think its very likely we get one.

It was a good game for sure, but I kind of ran out of steam like 60% of the way through. If a sequel does happen, I hope they have a larger variety of content.
