Shadow of Mordor Gets Free DLC

There's a new DLC bundle for Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, and the best part is, it's free! Known as the Power of Defiance bundle, it gives players a new character skin that allows them to play as the badass female warrior Lithariel, and there’s also a new Challenge Mode where you’re tasked with defeating Sauron’s Warchiefs without cheating death or relying on the power of the Wraith. Finally, there’s a new Epic Rune that gives players an additional Last Chance during combat. The Power of Defiance pack is out now on the PC, PS4, and Xbox One. No word yet on when, or if, the last-gen versions of the game will get in.

Wow, they keep giving out free DLC. Really feels like they love their game and want the best, most exhaustive Shadow of Mordor experience out there, unlike other money-grabbing companies (cough cough Ubisoft).

This game deserves Game of the Year.

EA Sports UFC gives out free DLC. The Witcher 3 will have 16 pieces of free DLC.

It's nice to get free stuff in the updates instead of just patches to fix things that don't really need to be fixed.

Got this last night for 25 bucks at Target. Really awesome game! I can't believe I waited so long to pick it up. The combat is very smooth, and I'm enjoying the story thus far.
And Destiny take note, THIS is how you share lore in a game. The appendices are excellent.

This game is not easy! At least towards the beginning it isnt. Its not like AC where you can just wade into a huge group of enemies and come out on top. This same orc has killed me several times. He's my nemesis.

You really do feel isolated in Mordor at the beginning, it's a scary place. You have to get used to running from Orcs. It's cool when you start becoming more powerful though and start hearing the Orcs talk of rumours of you. By the end of the game Talion is a bad ass, especially in the Dark Ranger outfit.

Yea Talion unlocks some uber bad ass moves. That chainable shadow strike is too sick.

got this on PS4 for $30 at GS today. couldn't find the $25 deal at my local Target or Best Buy.

Just finished this! With the way people talk about the ending, I thought I would be seriously disappointed. But I actually liked the ending! I'm satisfied with the story. I had a great time with this game. Hopefully there is a sequel.

I started playing this this past weekend and so far Im liking it a lot. The world, the combat, the upgrade system, the captain system, the death penalties, the music, the design etc are all aces.

Can't wait to rip into this game.. Buddy of mine said whatever you do don't go into it like some Uruk killing badass.. That comes later.. So I will keep that in mind.

I've been playing this a few hours every week and actually found the whole nemesis system actually lends itself to that. I can take out a few captains at a time and feel satisfied by that.
