Millar and Hitch's new project is...

Hmm, I wonder which one. Not really, but a little bit.

FF finally made its way off my pull list this week, too. I flipped through them when McDuffie was on and ultimately wound up not buying several of his issues, but I actually took the series off my list this week so I could assure myself that my shop isn't ordering an extra copy for me.

Milliar posted over at his board that in issue #6 of his run; one of the current FF will be revealed as a Skrull.

I was thinking about this before I read your post.

I think it's Ben. The way he showed up at the end of Civil War (also written by Millar) was just plain suspicious. And, I thought his pick-up lines in #554 were really out of character. But, I would think he'd have to have been switched out just recently.

Has anyone said whether the replacement of heroes has been a gradual, on-going process or was it supposed to be something the Skrulls did in one lump sum?

We don't know. Right now, they seem to be replacing heroes gradually, placing undercover agents within the Initiative's ranks where they can, so you can extrapolate that maybe they've just been doing that all along. But we don't know for certain.

Ah. I see.

I'd guess Ben was replaced in Paris, then.

Keyword there. Millar likes to deceive, so in issue #6, who knows who would be part of the FF. And even if it is Reed, Sue, Johnny or Ben, how can we trust Millar to do anything good with that.

WHAT?! one of the FF4 is a skrull?? Naah, no way. Millar must be deceiving us. If its true then i really gotta hand it to the skrulls, cause they must've studied the characters intensly in order to mimic their behaviors perfectly. The obvious suspect would be Reed but thats too easy, yet it cant possibly be any of the other three. I dont believe it.

It's Sue. Sue's a Skrull.

I think that's the idea...

Skrull 1: Hey, you done with your research on the Invisible Woman?
Skrull 2: Research? What the hell are you talking about?
Skrull 1: You know, so you can infiltrate the accursed Fantastic Four and help bring about the glorious dominance of the Skrull Empire over the pathetic humans.
Skrull 2: Pff, oh ****, that's what I was supposed to do last night! Damn it, I forgot and got smashed instead. Ah, whatever, I'll just wing it. How hard can it be to fool the stupid humans anyway?

Skrull invasion = epic fail.

weren't the FF the first people the skrulls impersonated?

They did the research yonks ago...

According to Millar, he never actually said that, just like Hitch never actually said they weren't doing FF.
