yeah you see this part confuses me ALOT. since the future clark will be in disguise will louis still know his secret from the get go or will there be a mindwipe and he will have to smooth talk her into loving him again? i never understood that part. i mean some sort of massive or select mindwipe is gonna happen by seasons end right?

i guess im reflecting on the superman movies here, and yes i know smallville is different. too many people currently know his seceret.

You obviously don't watch the show. During the finale last season we got a vision of the future where Lois is married to Superman & clearly knows that Clark & Superman are one & the same. On top of that if they mindwipe it would undo any & all progression made this season thus far, making the season itself pointless. No there will be no mindwipe. Lois will know & Clark will use the Martian Manhunter to show the citizens of Metropolis that Clark Kent & Superman are two different people, with only Lois & Himself knowing the truth...,well the other heroes as well. Also her name is Lois not Louis

yes in fact i do watch it. BUT this is smallville afterall. i was just curious, relax.

I may have overreacted but my point remains, if they mind wipe at seasons end all the progression of Lois & Clark is gone from this season, making the struggles & meaning of their relationship a pointless sham. I don't see it happening. plus like I said they're Married in the future & she clearly knows he's Superman by the smile on her face as she looks up at him zoom by. Also if you watch next weeks episode present Clark interacts with future Lois, so all your questions regarding whether they mind wipe or not will be answered then. Hope that was a more civil answer for you.

so in homecoming when he is at the window people can interact with him? i guess i thought it was some sort of realistic vision.

Not quite sure what your trying to say here, no disrespect but I think I got lost in the translation. Any who in the BTS photo's released so far it shows present Clark actually interacting with future Lois. If she in fact gets mind wiped at the end of season 10 then she won't know Clark & Supes are one & the same in the future we see come next weeks episode. As I said, all your questions will be answered next week I feel.

it's a fair question, i mean they have turned back time before, that is a mind wipe of sorts. i wouldn't put it past the writers. they will do whatever to shoehorn clark into the clark from the comics.

Please no mind wipe. I for one don't mind that Lois knows even in the last ep.; anyway SV already strayed in many elements of the mythology--not saying this is a bad thing; some are good and some are bad. So no mind wipe!

apparently im not the only one who is worried that the smallville writers may pull something by seasons end.

I serious doubt they would do a masive mindwipe to all. That would kill all developmen of the characters. Also I believe kelly and brian said they wouldn't do that.

trust me i do not want it to happen but it is a possibility. i know ill get slammed for saying this but none of us know how this season will fully play out yet.

ok i haven't watched the show in some time but who is louis? and why is he in a relationship with clark

I don't think they'll do that.

In some continuities in the comics, LOIS does know and in current continuity she knows because she married Clark. He'd be a real ass if he married her and didn't tell her he was the alien protector that she keeps writing about in the paper.

I don't see that ever happening, especially not in the show's continuity. She'll remember he's the Blur and will probably still be responsible for being the first one to call him Superman in print, she may even call him that to his face when he discovers she knows.

Heh, not even Silver Age Superman would be that much of a dick. :)
"Those are my giant locusts destroying the city and you can't stop them, officer."

There's not going to be a Mind wipe.
Smallville is not going to pull a One More Day. :)

To the OP, just keep watching the show.
You'll see.

I look forward to this week's episode a lot.

If you mean Future-Superman, then, maybe.
Brainiac 5 might also do that too.

We'll have to wait to see if Future Clark is going to give Clark anything but a funny look and say. "I don't remember this. You created a Time paradox, Brainiac 5!" :)
Followed by the music from MGS3 when you get a game over...

No mindwipe. It was stupid when they did it in Amazing Spider-man, it would be stupid here.

Honestly, if lois never reveal to Clark that she knows his secret (which I hope is the case), there is no need to mind wipe her. In fact, it's a clever twist on the Superman mythology (she knew all the time but never told him)

I am much more worried with what they will do with Lex. Lex feeling betrayed by his former (only friend) Superman, who even "stole" his father affection, it's all good. But Lex knowing that Clark is Superman is a completely different thing that change a lot of thing.

If my memory serves me correct, I believe KS and BP had discussed in a interview not long after this year's CC in regards to this very topic, on how they plan on dealing with Lois knowing Clark's secret despite the fact that in Canon mythology, she's not technically supposed to know about Clark's secret until he's officially superman.

They had responded by saying something about how they respect the mythology, but in the same time SV is in its own universe and that Fans of the comics may be disappointed with how they plan on ending things, which I gathered to meant that they won't have everything aligned up with the comics in regards to Lois not knowing his secret until he's been officially superman for awhile.

Honestly, Clark is pretty much doing the 'superman' thing already. Just give him the suit, and glasses and the ability to fly and he's technically superman.

I mean the guy:

1. Already works at the DP as a reporter

2. Met and has become the de facto leader of the Justice League

3. He's defeated Zod and sent his entire Kandorian army to 'New Krypton'

4. The Evil Brainiac has been supposedly vanquished forever.

I mean there are a lot of other things that Clark has done that he wasn't supposed to do really until he was officially superman, so a couple of mindwipes wouldn't solve their problem. They know that it would just increase it, and SV would become a bigger taboo in itself than what happened with the whole Henry Olsen thing.

And while our current producers have had their fair share of presenting some WTF moments in SV, at least they gave a better answer than what Miles did at the 2007 comic con, where he just responded by saying that since the stuff with Superman happens after SV, that it wasn't their problem.:whatever:

well i guess this thread is useless after seeing last nights episode. that's unless they pull a 360 on us in the finale.

I doubt it too. There would be no point do a mind swipe so Lois can re discover it all over again? lol.

This is Smallville and it's not going to follow the typical Superman story where Lois and Clark meet at the Daily planet and fall in love. They're already in love, he knows they're meant to be, and it should remain that way. Smallville is it's own universe.

im just hoping it hasn't all been a test by jor-el. like it was a fake world set up like his previous training scenario when lex was president.
