Minority Report: The Series

Yeah, that's a wrap.

I hope I'm wrong especially since this looks to be a continuation from the film.

You guys can be such drama queens. :o

Stark Sands cast as Dash/Arthur

Heard of him here and there. Kind of expected they'd go a bit more noteworthy for the male lead, but hey. Worked out for Sleepy Hollow.

Wilmer Valderrama Cast
Valderrama will play Will Blake, a new police detective at the precinct who fills in for Vega when she’s out on leave, and when Vega sizes him up, she decides she doesn’t like him.
Cue up your inevitable Fez jokes, but he did good in a supporting drama role on Awake.

Minority Report‘s series pickup was never in doubt, but the project, based on the 2002 Steven Spielberg movie, got the ultimate seal of approval from Spielberg, whose company Amblin TV is producing the TV adaptation. The filmmaker, who had been involved in the development of the futuristic drama, recently watched the pilot, directed by Mark Mylod and, impressed by what he saw, opted for an executive producer credit, something that he is entitled to on all Amblin TV projects but rarely goes for.
Sounds promising.

Is this going to be a procedural with a case of the week like a csi type show or more of a serial drama like Fringe? If it's just going to be a procedural I doubt I'll even tune in unless it gets amazing reviews.

I doubt it'll be 100% one way or the other. It'll probably follow the old X-Files model.

Well that could be good. So this will be premiering this Fall, correct?

Given The Beard's seal of approval I'm interested to see some footage, I hope there are Jetpack's! :drl:

Looks good. I'm in.

I get the feeling that the first season will be smaller, case-of-the-week crimes with an overarching plotline of him trying to find his brother (unless he's already dead) and some big crime that won't happen until the season finale, likely involving the politician they kept showing. Looks okay but I seem to be getting an Almost Human-type vibe with how futuristic it looks. These shows don't seem to last long on Fox.

Hmm...I'm not "in" (not feeling the cast at all), but I guess I'm intrigued enough to give it a shot.

Here's the thing about Almost Human: It warranted a renewal. Especially looking at the ratings FOX has gotten this season. It won't do Empire ratings, because that show is a freak of nature, but I think it'll do well enough to survive.

Almost Human probably did deserve a renewal but FOX really screwed that show's narrative over by playing episodes out of order. I actually liked that show so I was kind of disappointed to see it go. I may or may not give Minority Report a go because while it seems an interesting premise, I don't trust FOX to handle it properly.

Looks ok, they seem to be making decent use of the holographic stuff used in the movie.

when I first saw the trailer kind of remained me of abc's flash forward they canceled it after the first season.
