MJ Defenitly Kidnapped By Venom

In Spiderman 1, Norman discovers Peter's true identity, realizing that he longs for MJ obviously he kidnaps her. In Spiderman 2, Doc Ock confronts Peter in that coffee shop and MJ happens to be there with him, knowing she must be somebody special enough to persuade him to get Spidey to meet him at the clock tower, he kidnaps MJ. In Spiderman 3 once Eddie Brock bonds with the sym he knows everything about Peter from his favorite underwear to everyone he cares about, the most logical thing to do is kidnap MJ. So even though its redundant it has ben central to the plot in every movie.

Yeah, it's been central. But that doesn't mean it has to be. In all actuality, there was no real reason for it in SM2, if only for the convenience of having MJ learn Peter's secret. And after doing it twice now, a third time is beating a dead horse with a broken stick.

I agree. We pretty much knew this was going to happen, but it's getting kind of old now.

I wasn't all coincidental, Harry did tell Octavius he could find Spiderman through Peter, so obviously if Peter is having lunch with MJ, Octavius would assume that he either find Spiderman or he will peel the flesh off her bones.

Good points spiderine. Each kidnapping did have it's own, new, fresh reason behind it.

I couldnt agree with you more, I wish they would shake things up and do something different here but in the case of SM2, when Doc Ock saw them together in that coffee shop, he knows MJ must have been somebody special to Peter going back earlier in the movie when they were having that warm fuzzy moment at dinner discussing love to peter telling him how to be a player and all, he kidnaps her as collateral knowing full well that Peter would give Spidey the messege about meeting him at that clock tower. I assume that was the importance of that scene. Ock doesnt know at the time Peter is Spidey.

eddie pretending to be a taxi driver is just classic Venom right there

So Topher will be driving the taxi and then turn into venom in front of mj.

I will laugh my ass off if in the movie MJ gets on the cab and we see Eddie Brock in the drivers seat.

Eddie: Where to, ma'am?
MJ: Broadway
*Eddie turns into Venom*
Venom: My pleasure.

I just laugh at what you guys are complaining about. Of course MJ is going to be kidnapped, this is his curse, some one he loves will always get in the way of his dangerous life style. So what would you have it be? Some random person Venom grabs from the street, and we as the audiance are suppose to feel that Spidey has a great mission to save this nobody? No.

First as an audiance *yes that includes fans as well* need to see a motive for the main character, and if it was just to kill Venom, and to kill kill kill, it would make Peter a dark murderous character, which since day one of the comics he has never been. It is much more powerful to fight for love, and we could do the flipping Batman route and have a new girl friend every five minutes. But people would then complain about that.

I just say stop complaining about something so small and trivial. Yea it's MJ in danger again, but that is like saying oh great another Super human Villian......it's just part of the forumula.

Something different.

We have seen this Mj-angst/Mj in peril stuff two times already. Had it not been for the villain that film would have been unbearably boring. As someone already mentioned, all we need is burning building #3 and we'll be all set. I for one would not bet against there being one in there, either.

They're trying to hold their target audience by basically telling the same exact story three times in a row, hey it worked last time so it will work again, right? it was really old last time out and this time will be the straw that breaks the camel's back. If we wanted to see the same exact plot devices every time, we could pick up a Harlequin paperback.

The plot of the film is "small and trivial"? Pass some of what you are smoking over here, lol. We need to flush it before it hurts your brain any worse.

MJ gets kidnapped in every movie. It would be nice if it was someone else for a change.

That would be a nice thing to see. Maybe in the next one Spidey gets in trouble and MJ helps to bail him out.:woot:

yeah, and I think that makes for a reason for spidey to go after the villian. personally I think mj getting kidnapped should continue, mj is usually what lures spidey to where ever the villian is.

Unfortunately they are going to pound this thing in our heads for a third time. This is the lesson that they are showing us in the theme of these movies of trying to maintain a relationship of a superhero and his sweetheart while the impending dangers of his enemies threaten their existence, remember at the end of 2, "If my enemies ever found out about you......." this is the very reason why Peter could not be with MJ. This is the first movie where they are actually a couple so those fears will come to light again only we dont know yet how this will end. Will he save her or is she doomed. Would you all finally like to see an end to her? Maybe this one will end in a twist.

Man... Where did you get that?? LOL never tought someone would post my lil gif on the net haha

LOL, you created that? Great job!! It was posted in another thread by I forget who. I saw it and I knew had to save it for moments just like this. I wasn't taking any credit for it but it definitely needed to be shared with others :yay:.
