Mjolnir changed again?

Should or will Mjolnir be changed again?

  • Yes, still needs some tweaking.

  • Yes they probably will, but it's perfectly fine now.

  • No, they finally got it right in The Dark World.

  • No they won't, but need to.

  • I liked the Avengers version better!

  • I liked the original best. They should have left it alone.

I don't know if they should or not, but you can bet they "will".

Never really paid it that much attention. Should keep stuff like that the same. It's not a change of clothes, it's his weapon of choice that he's had for hundreds of years.

You would think. Hard to justify a different look from movie to movie...

I really like the original in Thor, but the Dark World version has grown on me.

Looks like it at least stays the same in Avengers: Age of Ultron

I haven't noticed any differences in the movies we've seen TBH lol

I'm happy the way it is right now. As long as it's not that first Ultimates Mjolnir

They are very slight but mostly the "pommel" or Handle butt and the rings up and down the handle
Actually, there's been some major differences. Obviously, the handle and end cap would be the most noticeable differences to the casual observer. But there have been other "big" changes if you're a Mjolnir-atic. Things like color of the leather, position of the strap, rings, and slight changes in the hammer head. Even the size has changed.

I wouldn't expect most to be up on all the changes, but to not notice any differences from the Mjolnir in Thor, to Avengers, then Thor Dark World isn't very perceptive. :shr:

:yay:

Yeah the size wasn't that noticeable, but making 3d models of it the ring shape and handle caps were the most noticeable besides WHERE the hammer thong was attached.

I'm not sure why they did it, but in The Avengers the position of the strap was turned 90 degrees. Then back to normal in the Dark World.

AND the thong went through a slot rather than being attached TO the end in the final one

I really dig TDW's design, I hope they continue with that one.

Yeah, I hope they don't change it too much from the TWD design. I think that's by far the best.

Well as long as they keep showing creative ways of him using it I'm good. Love how it charged it on his way to his hand before striking Malekith.

The changes made over the movies have never really been significant enough for me to notice while watching the film.

Me neither. However, the one time I did get a close look, I didn't really like hang castle in Avengers, when it lay in the grass after Thor escaped the Hulk-prison. Just looked too 'clean' and fancy.

Of course, I'll admit that is a genuine nitpick.

I also still wonder who forged it in that dying star..... heat-and-gravityproof drwarves still?

I was wondering that the other day Bren.
I really wish they would show more of the explained Lore/myth
You would THINK that if lightning is hotter than the surface of the sun, and Mjolnir doesn't melt with it's contact. They have some sort of tech that they can show that does that forging in the heat of a dying star
