How will Thor fly?

which TV spot has him flying??,I haven't seen that!

Okay, I've been seeing that question asked a lot. Is it just not conveyed well in the trailer when Odin himself bellows "I take away your power and I cast you out!"?

I know man, I've been thinking the exact same thing and people on youtube are the WORST about it.

All see hear is "why is Thor taken down by a taser blah blah blah", it almost seems like they just skim through the trailer and focus on that scen (or Heimdall)

It appears that Thor uses Mjolnir to spin like a propeller boost into the air and then flies with Mjolnir wrapped around his wrist .

I think in that scene it involves,
making a tornado. He swings and deflects one blast from Destroyer too as he's in the air.

I'll do some screen caps at work tonight to show the scenes. I got to leave here soon but will be back at midnight.

It think he's spinning his hammer to create a tornado in the scenes your referring too.

Besides, Thor flies like that pretty much all the time.

Now these aren't all from one Trailer or spot, but it's the best I can piece together.

I think it's the start of it, before it's completely formed or maybe it's more hurricane than tornado. :D

Yeah I hope that's just the start of it, and I don't think it's a hurricane because they're formed in the ocean.

I bet after the tornado's done nothing in town is actually damaged leaving everyone in wonder!

To those who have seen it, how does he fly? Like Superman? Does he use the hammer to fling himself? or is it like MUA2 where the hammer glows blue and give him flight?

I've seen a lot of different interpretations and I've never known what was the correct one.

glad the hammer twirl, flying and making storms or that tornado is in the movie. i can't wait to see this movie. almost here, holy crap.

Saw it earlier.......... it was very Superman.

One big ? mark for me over a superb movie, was why he just didnt fly for the first 2/3 of the film (when fully powered) yet instead rode horses ? After that he just did it second nature as though he were Kryptonian.

Probably because the others couldn't fly or he was reserving what ever energy he needed for battle.

Hi. Brand new fan due to extreme liking of the Thor movie, which is probably why I've seen it three times now. In awe of all the good discussion here.

I wondered that too, but assume it was to introduce and show off the bridge to good effect, to keep Thor with the warriors, who maybe can't fly, and also to set up the horse gag for later on?

Plus, maybe it takes a bit of effort/energy for him to fly? In most of the flying scenes he flew like a bullet...I loved it!
