Revenge of the Fallen Moments in the movie that made you go "WTF?!?"

Not in the movie but in my theatre. A boy(who wasn't more than 8 or 9) acted like he was nutting in his pants when he saw Megan Fox taking off her clothes and changing into what looked sort of like a wedding dress. He was loudly going "ohhhhhh, oh my god!" until his mother told him" shhh, stop that!"

That's the thing with kids, they express their feeling outwardly. While guys like me were also going,'Oh God...yeah...omfg that's good...thankyou michael...oooooohh yeeeaaahhh', but on the inside. While our girlfriends sat next to us.

There were many WTF moments, but most of them can be explained away simply because it's A MOVIE. The decepticon balls were funny, like he was about to teabag Turturro.

while i acknowledge Fallen was a dreadful film, and nowhere near as funny and entertaining as Transformers 1, there were a few major WTF moments in Fallen, namely;

* The original Autobots given cameo's. WTF? They were great in T1, and they have been uneccesarily replaced by annoying, redundant twin-bots. F**k that.
* The absolute inadequacy of The Fallen. Even with Prime in major hard-on mode, he should have been strong enough to have given him a good fight. Didn't need more Megatron Vs Prime.
* Leo. All of him. His Vegas line was funny and i get that he was a plot device but just not a very funny one. Very annoying.
* The whole cast minus Shia and Megan were just going nuts and overboard with everything, like they were too excited or something. Bay needed to reign all this stuff in.

I'm not a troll or anything. I stood in line for 5 hours for the midnight showing. Granted it's not as long as some others, but in Arizona... it's a life time. I am a huge car buff and was so intrigued by the stingray concept used for Sideswipe, that was more than enough to convince me to see the movie. And honestly the fact that Sideswipe has one line and is on screen for less than 30 seconds aside, I just cant understand how anyone would see this movie more than once. Honestly do I ask too much from movies? It just bothers me that so much money can be used to make a movie and they dont think things through. I mean for the vast majority everything that is pointed out in this thread is actually in the movie.

Furthermore I'm tired of hearing people say "it's a toy movie" or "it's just a big blow em up action flick why take it seriously" first of all if its just a big blow em up movie, why defend it? Secondly people have expectations. Especially people that care enough to write on the internet about it.

Agreed. If your going to make a movie like this it has to be tight and coherent. The first one was. It's not too much to ask, when paying so much money for a ticket, for said movie to be well thought out and executed.

I'm not expecting Shakespeare, but....

Truly.

Just throwing 50 foot tall robots on screen is cool, but not enough to sustain interest for more than 2 minutes tops.

Agree totally.

Also the "if you hate the movie so much, why are you still on the Transformers board" attitude.

maybe because......

I wish to talk about how devastatingly s*%t this excuse for a movie is as much as people who want to talk about how amazing the movie is...

I'm not attacking any individual persons posts on how they "think TF2 is amazing", I'm just expressing my opinion on and explaining why I hate it so much. Unlike alot of the people who love this movie who seem to go straight into "defensive mode" and counter argue all the WTF moments and critisism.

Lets be honest (everyone) this movie is not "amazing" in ANY way, well maybe just maybe if you're 10 years old it could pass as "fun" or "cool".

Just about everything about this movie was WTF!!!!

But as mentioned in this thread, special mention has to go to-

Transformer heaven, teleporting, the twins, continuious fart joke level humour, continuious almost pornographic references.

really for me:

1)when sam got rescued/Optimus Trap: Like the transition from the abandoned building, to the forest was non existant. Same as in TF1, when bumblebee rescued Sam and Mackayla, drove into a building in day time, 2 seconds later, it was night time.

2)wholly unsatisfying climax. I have no idea what the film makers were thinking. It was a pathectic climax... infact, it was just as pathetic as the climax in TF1. Where's the grand finale fight?

I didn't think the climax in the first Movie was pathetic, but I thought the climax in ROTF was definitely way worse. He turns into Super Optimus, takes out the machine with 1 shot, spanks Megatron and the Fallen within like a minute and then you see him and Sam on a ship. The end. What the hell?

Way to contradict yourself. :hehe:

Starscream was able to reconnect his arm easily and Jolt was able to electrify Jetfire parts too Optimus Prime, all this magic and they still couldn't fix Bumble Bee's voice.

Devastator can suck up vans that way tons but not humans holding on to sticks in the ground

if u know any thing of Transformers lore u know teleporting is not a new Concept

I did, finally, Optimus and Megatron were gonna fight, and guess what, you didn't even get to see it, except in the distant background as we watch the humans fight... uncool. TFII was just as dissappointing... maybe slightly moreso.

Someone said (I can't put my finger on what site..think it was this one) that this movie took like 3 to 5 steps BACK and in the wrong direction from the fist one....I completely agree.

This movie was an epic disaster, made me frustrated, look at my watch countless times, fall asleep and just generally left a bad taste in my mouth.

I absolutely LOVED the first one and because it was so awesome-the action, the story, the editing, the shots, I was able to look past the goofy b.s. of Anthony Anderson, the Transformers trying to hide so Sams parents didnt see them, the goofy walk Soundbyte gave when he tried to 'sneak' away from Air Force one and the John Turturro Sector 7 boxers and other stupid jokes....

BUT this movie had sooo many WTF moments there were too many to list....it truly sucks because with the right editing this movie could be pretty bad ass.

I loved the N.E.S.T. team stuff and the idea of the Transformers working along side the military, I loved the battles but the balls on Devestator too many sex jokes, a British CANE USING FARTING Jetfire?!, a Brooklyn jackass acting leg humping Decepticon Drone, a long tongued ****e bot trying to seduce and kill Sam, dogs humping (twice..was it really needed even once?!) the underwhelmed voices the Decepticons had ...

..I mean since when did Dr. Claw voice Soundwave

I admit the fight was disappointing, but to me it was all part of the waging war in the city. And even though not a lot was shown, with them crashing through the building, Optimus getting blown down the street and them going at each other's throat for the final time with Blackout slowly approaching, at least you felt like they were fighting a while.

Starting with Starscreams assault, up to the moment Megatron finally gets the Cube pushed into his chest, I thought it was one great and well paced sequence. In ROTF you have a fight with the Decepticons, Autobots and the Military that such drags horribly long and when it finally gets interesting with the Fallen, it abruptly ends. And there isn't any sense of closure. In the first Movie you had Optimus regreting Jazz's death, giving a speech about new comrades, Lennox being reunited with his family and finally calling to other Autobots. What the heck did we get in ROTF? Everyone ends up on a ship and Optimus says like 1-2 lines.

Although I have a lot of WTF's for this film, the one that really gets me is the premise that the events in the first movie were covered up!!??

Really???!!!

A major American Metropolitan city was pretty muched leveled by the Army and what could only be described as Large aggressive robots... Ok, maybe you don't call them Aliens, but how do you explain a war in the middle of a city as a gas explosion?? And expect me to believe that was the official story that ran????!!!

I know this is a joke, but literally...since always.

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0919798/

Frank Welker voicec Soundwave, Megatron, and a number of other G1 characters. And, he also voiced Dr. Claw in Inspector Gadget. His Claw voice just happens to be very similar to Soundwave sans vocoder.

Honestly? I mustn't have paid much attention, but they explained it as a gas explosion? I already thought it was silly that they could cover up a war between 2 robot factions in a giant city, but the gas explosion is the best they came up with?

Well to be fair, it was not stated as the cover-up story for the war in the city. I believe it was the scene between Sam and his roommates where they mentioned that one particular incident (probably one that happened in the last 2 years) was covered up as a gas explosion...

But still, the idea that the battle was covered up is so ridiculous that it completely removed me from the movie. And made it even funnier whenever the 'consipiracy' characters were expounding in the movie about how awesome they were for finding the 'truth'... Oh yeah, you guys are geniuses you've uncovered the BIGGEST secret in the history of time... makes the whole evolution/creation argument look really small, lol!

Did they ever mention during the movie that basically the entire planet is aware of the Transformers at this point? Because there really is no need for them to be in secret at this point.

Yeah, Megatron makes an 'Osama Bin Laden' announcement to the world about their existence (and power) in hopes of encouraging law enforcement into driving out Sam.

But again, this premise in the movie was intently stupid. It only serves for some supposed reasoning as to why the annoying G-man takes control from the existing G-men. Which was TOTALLY unnecessary for the movie to progress it's so-called plot.

Well yeah, there isn't much leadership in the Autobot camp. With Jazz gone, there's no one left to assume command in Optimus' absence. In this movie, we've got Optimus fighting for his life against three Decepticons and where are the other Autobots...running around like chickens with their heads cut off. Afterwards, no knows what to do upon Optimus' death.

Anyway, I'm surprised no on mentioned the scene where Mikaela was lying unconcious in between Leo's legs after they had traveled through the Space Bridge. I thought to myself, God I wish I was in his position right about now.

I was thinking to myself, "Damn it Bay, can't you have one scene with these people without throwing in a funny?"

All very frustrating and unfunny. I feel like 2 diff versions of this movie should have come out. One "funny" and immature sex-joke version for anybody who cared to see that stuff; and a serious one for the rest of us.

Amen.

Maybe when ROTF comes out on DVD, someone will do a fan-edited version like the "Phantom Edit" of Star Wars episode one a few years ago.

I wouldn't want to be the fan-editor that has to wade through all the crap and pick out the useful stuff however.

Devastator and his massive set of metal testi's
That was more of a "WTF LOL", but still.

Other things that made me go WTF:
1. Sam dying and reviving
2. Mikaela changing in a dress randomly
3. Arcee being actually 3 robots
4. Seeing Jolt randomly on screen
5. Megatron transforming into a tank and going super-fast even though it seemed like he had treads made of metal.
6. Constructicons being at 2 different places at the same time. (And still alive after Devastator was killed)
7. The matrix of leadership changing sizes
8. When Sam tries to take the matrix of leadership, he loses some of the silver-ish sand, yet it's completely rebuilt afterwards, and there is some of that silver-ish sand left on the ground, too.
9. Jetfire losing pieces randomly (Didn't look realistic)
10. Jetfire using a cane
11. Scrapper getting sacrificed to revive Megatron, yet he still is present in the movie later on
12. Demolishor using the exact same vehicle mode as another Constructicon.
13. Wheelie disappearing randomly after the group teleports to Egypt.
14. Bumblebee still doesn't talk
15. Agent Simmons showing his underwear
16. The group looking for Jetfire appears halfway around the states after exiting the Museum.
17. Several Decepticons dying and still being seen afterwards in the movie.
18. Experimental Railgun doesn't leave any trail and makes no sparks.
19. Jetfire committing suicide
20. The cable synching Jetfire's parts to Optimus
21. The parts that make up the engines on Optimus fall off.
22. The Fallen defying Gravity with his staff and attracting all metals nearby, but not the Transformers. (And Megatron, who was just next to him)
23. Sam and Mikaela going into the pyramid and the next scene showing them outside. What was the point of them getting inside the pyramid?
24. Mixmaster removing the American flag from the Brooklyn bridge, yet it's back there in a scene that takes place just shortly after.
25. Bonecrusher and Brawl both appear for a second in the movie.
26. F-15s using flares instead of weapons.
27. F-22s appearing out of nowhere...
28. Obama being mentionned just for the heck of it.

The first part of the movie was fine (Up until they exit the Aircraft Museum), then it started looking like the movie was rushed...Most of it was chaotic. You could already see some parts of the movie were rushed (Jolt, Arcee and other robots not being properly introduced, them and other transformers barely getting any screentime, Scrapper being sacrificed yet still existant, etc.), but it wasn't that bad up until the "climax". And Optimus just beat the living hell out of the Fallen without any trouble...

Oh, and some scenes were obviously deleted. (Didn't see the part where the guy that was sent by the President says "So it's like a truck, but it's not" and someone (don't remember who) replying "Freaky, huh?". (That scene was in one of the TV commercials...))

-Wheelie humping Mikaela
-Devastator's balls + the constructiclones
-Blackout is alive how?
-It takes 100+ years to find Megatron when he's frozen, not dead, but only 2 to find him when he's actually dead? Makes no sense. Why rush to get a dead body, but not a living one?
-Decepticon hatchlings ala Van Helsing
-Arcee, and no explaination
-The Twins
-The Fallen is present and giving Megatron orders. Why is he not the leader of the Decepticons? Why does he need Megatron?
-Dynasty of the Primes vision Sam has
-The Matrix that desentigrates then reforms
-Starscream is a little b**** in this one
-Lack of Barricade
-Leo's frequent non-humorous jokes
-Arcee, Sideswipe, and Jolt having NO explaination, plus almost no screentime for Ratchet
-Graham? Supposed to be a bigger character, but not?
-The Allspark kills Megatron in the first movie, but in this gives life to Megatron and Jetfire?
-Scorponok, thanks for coming back for ten seconds
-Wasn't Bumblebee's voice repaired?
-Why Starscream spit so much?
-Bumblebee's green pee
-Frenzy head
-Scalpel... just weird and lame
