Lynda Carter is too old. Plus that would be a stupid gimmick, she's not necessarily the best person for the job. She barely even acts anymore. Come on guys, get more creative.

Plus, she doesn't look like she could be Gadot's mom. Seriously we're going to have a Hippolyta with an American accent while Gadot has her accent? Doesn't make sense, and they don't look related.

I'd love to see it, but I remember Bellucci dissing Spider-Man 2 and other comic book films a while back, so there's a good chance she might not be interested. That's kind of ironic, IMO, since she starred in The Brothers Grimm and the Matrix sequels, which had a comic book feel to them (and they were also really crappy movies). Shoot 'em Up also felt like a comic book too.

Agreed. In a way, it would be more of a comeback role for her. That would be a great idea as they do share a similarity to each other in terms of looks, but I don't think it would happen, but then again, I'd be wrong. When I think of Hippolyta, I think of someone that's like a big name (Zeta-Jones,Bullock, Blanchett, etc.) similar to Man of Steel with Crowe and Costner.

Monica Bellucci should have been Wonder Woman YEARS ago. And if they were doing a TDKReturns style thing where Bruce was 50 (Brolin)...i would have made Monica-Diana Prince.

But she HAS to be Diana's mother. It's just a must. It would be one hell of missed oppurtunity to not show the origin in flashbacks at least (in Trinity maybe).

That's how I see it too man. It would be a major missed opportunity not getting her for the role. It's funny you mention her being the perfect Wonder Woman had they made a movie 10 to 15 years ago. Hunter was telling me how Bellucci was his pick too.

Seeing as we got Gadot who looks like her it's a funny set of circumstance that she's playing her.

As I've mentioned in the other thread, Lynda Carter could only really play Queen Hippolyta if they went with the whole Wonder Woman formed from a clay figure concept. That way Carter wouldn't need to look like Gadot, because they sure don't look biologically related.

But I don't like that origin. It makes WW as if she's not a real person but just some animated figurine. I prefer the origin where she is actually Hippolyta's biological daughter. And for that kind of origin, which I think would also be more palatable to audiences, Monica Bellucci would suit the role of Gal's mother well. They are physically similar so it would look convincing.

If Lynda really wanted to be in it, she could be Hera, whom WW is always calling on to give her strength. Or she could even be the goddess Diana, after whom Hippolyta's daughter is named.

Bellucci was my pick back in the day as well. Her as Hippolyta, I hadn't thought of that. That'd be perfect. If Julia Kapatelis was in this, Lynda Carter would be my pick. But maybe her character can get introduced in a Wonder Woman solo after this.
