More about the movie??

Whats the plot? Will the SS come and cause trouble for no reason? Is he even good? Sorry if this has been posted, but I rarely come to this section so excuse my lack of knowledge for this. Anyway, I just wanted to know more about it because I saw the preview (which was okay) and got a little --> .

Well, there is an official synopsis on the official website, but I am inclined to go into a little bit more:

On a day that should be considered the happiest moment of their lives, the Fantastic 4 and guests have gathered on a rooftop to bear witness to the marriage of Reed Richards and Susan Storm. The happiest of times comes to a screeching halt as a mysterious blur flies past at incredible speed. The Human Torch is told by Reed to go after him. The blur is revealed to be a intergalactic entity known as the Silver Surfer. He has come to Earth to prepare the planet for being devoured by his master, the enormous Godzilla sized world devourer known as Galactus.

The Fantastic 4 must unravel this mystery until their arch-nemesis, the man once known as Victor Von Doom, now Dr. Doom has returned (how this happens is still unclear) but Doom learns of the Surfer and they power he possesses and then,

like in the comics, Doom sucks dry the Power Cosmic out of the Silver Surfer and becomes a god

. Now the F4 must find out how to stop Doom and if the Surfer is here on Earth, can Galactus be far behind?

Let´s go with the idea that this movie will be the 1st of a trilogy, or even two movies.
Isn´t that a really stupid move by Fox?
The first movie was not you can call a beloved movie, both by fans and reviewers, it barely made it´s money back.
So, i can understand them trying to make a sequel, but the idea of two movies, or even a trilogy, it´s a bit of a scretch.
If this movie fails like the first one, then what?
That´s why i don´t buy the all trilogy thing, just when something concrete comes out.

the first movie made 320 million world wide, not including merchandising, and DVD sales....

well, it's not like they throw the world wide box office revenues away.... it all goes into account..

I agree, I thought the first one was *****...... I am excited about this for one reason, actually two, SS and galactus....

I wouldn't be suprised to see the movie end on a cliff hanger with Doom stealing the Surfer's cosmic powers. Since movie Doom's powers are based on absorbing energy, they would have a very easy way of explaining how he does it as well. It wouldn't take the kind of build up that the comics had, that way the majority of the movie could focus on battling the Surfer.
