Seriously, what the hell? This practice of baptizing dead people is despicable and indefensible.

I've never heard of this before, but I agree, the concept of baptizing dead people is not okay.

I'm pretty sure she's already got the religion thing covered.

While I'd like to think that Mitt Romney isn't one of those Mormons who believes they should be baptizing the dead, it scares me a bit that he might.

I doubt she even knew what Mormonism is.

Seriously, what the hell?

From a spiritual standpoint, if they believe you go to Hell for not being Christian...if she's been dead for 60 years, wouldn't she already be there?

Also, if you baptize someone for them without them having any say or even knowledge of this, what does it really mean? Doesn't the person themselves have to make that choice for it to count?

And just besides the whole spiritual debate, I just think it's inappropriate and arrogant to make this decision for someone who's been dead for 60 years and can't give their thoughts on it or have any say in it.

Makes sense to me.

This seems incredibly inappropriate to me...

This isn't the first time they've tried.

Also, Mormons aren't Christians.

This is a disgusting practice. It's awful, insulting and disgusting. Just when I thought I couldn't think any lower of the Mormons, BAM, they do this. Unbelievable.

The Diary of Anne Frank had a huge influence on my life. I find this very offensive.

Seems kinda....intrusive.

They follow Christ, they're Christians. :o

Yeah, this is ****ed up, but look at it from their point of view, they are trying to help.
Mormons aren't Christians. Their Christ is nothing like the Christian Jesus.

As for the baptizing Anne Frank thing , that's just disgusting.

I'm not sure what the word for all this is, but it doesn't seem right. In my opinion, it's trivializing what happened to her, as well as being a slap in the face to the Jewish Community.

It's fact that he took part in it before.

Makes sense to me.
Please say your mean that sardonically.

This is such a half baked idea BTW If she herself didn't want to be a mormon or even have a viewpoint on it most likely why does it matter if she was baptized in that religion?

This is sad.:csad:

I'd let someone bar mitzvah me after I was dead.
