I really enjoyed Karl as JC, honestly added what the first film really needed. A good balance of humor and heart. He also has my favorite moment in the movie. Sure to be a fan favorite to the general audience. I think most fans will be really happy with Shao Kahn's depiction, look and voice is perfect. Completely menacing.

How was the tone of the film? I hope it had more of a darker vibe than the previous film.

I still enjoyed the first film, even if I don't think Cole should've been the focus. I still would like to see an actual tournament of sorts and less of an adventure. At least the original Mortal Kombat film did primarily focus on Liu Kang, Sonya, and Johnny (and Raiden) working their way through the tournament.

I'm not comparing it to that logo as it's iconic as hell, the new movie logo looks like a logo they made for the PC version of MK in the late 90s. lol

Was just thinking about that. Honestly, when it comes to movie posters or logos for video game adaptations, some adaptations should take the Sonic 2 route and just recreate the game cover. I do dig the Johnny Cage poster and I like the poster, even though I think it didn't need the dragon right between the II, though. A trailer can't be too far now.

I hope Kitana makes good use of those fans. It always bugged me that between those first two movies, she only uses her fans once, and that was in Annihilation! Not even in the first film, but then, Kitana's in...what, one brief fight with Liu Kang? Otherwise, curious to see Urban's take on Cage.

Shao Kahn definitely looks menacing than whatever that was in Annihilation.
