Look, I get that you are fine with white folks playing Asian characters. I am not. The casting is what it is though and I ain’t interested in debating it.

Not at all. If Scott Adkins ever got cast as Lui Kang, I'd be right there with you pitchfork in hand, but outside of their names/title given to them by two pop culture obsessed guys from Chicago, there's nothing in the games that suggest either of these characters are supposed to be Asian. In fact, the games suggest otherwise.

Speaking of Baraka, I really liked his fight with Johnny Cage in that first demo look for MK: Legacy. Even if I think Johnny should've won that fight.

I'm guessing Baraka will be a mixture of prosthetics and CG, like they did Mileena.

Either that or we end up with that horrific rubber mask like in Annihilation.

I was really hoping they would consider Scott Adkins as Johnny Cage. We'll have to see what happens now.

Hopefully Urban can pull off some decent martial arts skills. I really enjoyed the direct to video martial arts era from the 80s-90s growing up, so martials arts on-screen really hits home for me in the entertainment department.

Hopefully Reptile gets a shot soon. I wish these films were good enough to justify multiple sequels so we could eventually get a look at everyone and see multiple sets of interactions between various characters.

He’s referenced filming this on his IG. I kinda hope they pull an Anakin-type character reversal with him. His family dies in the opening scene due to Quan Chi and he blames Raiden. Brutally kills the person responsible and defects to Outworld. Becomes a general for Shao Kahn. Allow Liu Kang to serve as our protagonist with Cage as the new audience surrogate.

It’s derivative of the Scorpion’s storyline, but I dunno if they’re gonna explore that anyway.

Yeah I don’t think they should cut him but they do need to do something more interesting with his character. Give him more to work with and make Cole Young a character you’d actually want to play as.

They could maybe make him Takeda. He’s an orphan in the film so his father could feasibly be Kenshi.
