I picked up MK11 as my first MK game and was really impressed by the character designs. Hope a movie could offer the same kind of world.

MKX was actually better IMO but 11's problems stem more from the grind they put into it. The throwback with MK's younger original characters was a nice touch though.

Was the script review of a Greg Russo script because there's been a few writers attached to this. He said on Twitter that Sonya wouldn't be a writer or Raiden a teenager.

Yikes, that script sounds bad. Reads like executives twenty years ago making a film based on a toy line on basic knowledge. Sub-Zero is the ice guy, Liu Kang shoots fireballs, Sonya likes cats. There's complete character changes for seemingly no reason and other characters killed off for the hell of it.

Hopefully, there's been some major changes. No idea who you'd cast in this but it would be nice to see Chinese actors as Liu Kang, Kung Lao and Sub-Zero and a Japanese actor as Scorpion.

I enjoyed the first movie since i was 14 seeing it in theaters yet could had been rated R and the sequel was utter garbage, let hope it makes up for that disaster.

I still don't care that MK95 wasn't R. I'd prefer a more classic portrayal of MK characters. I love the old MK, not the new one.

I like new MK and love the new games, but I agree about preferring the old characters and the lack of Quan Chi.

I know, but they are awesome. I really just threw them out there because most of those guys already have some relationship with WB. But I get your point of course and I'm not trying to minimize that.

Am I the only one who has always thought the Sub-Zero's were mixed race? I think I read that somewhere but could be wrong. Always pictured a Brandon Lee type for those two.

That's where it gets fun. From what I understand his mother is American and his paternal line is Chinese by way of the Cryomancers moving from Outworld to China.

Variety and The Wrap are both reporting that WB has set a March 5th, 2021 release date. I’m being completely serious when I say I want Chris Pratt for Johnny Cage.

I really hope Iko Uwais or Tony Ja are in the running for Kung Lao or Liu Kan.

Donny Yen would be amazing casting but at his age, he would probably be a villain as I don't see him being Raiden. Shang Tsung, Quan Chi or Shinok perhaps but him playing one of those two last characters would be a waste
