Batman said:The Joker. He's been missing on screen for more than 17 years. And now, when 2008 comes, he'll be seen again under the helm of someone who understands where the character is coming from. Joker has been around for years, and years. He's one of the most iconic villains today. And I (including many others I'm sure) am looking forward to Nolan's rendition of the character. Against Bale's Batman. Just imagining what we'll be seeing a year from now, makes the wait worth a whole lot more.
Ledger's Joker is going to be completely distant from Nicholson's. For one, he won't have the exact same amount of screentime like in B89. And two, he'll be much, much darker, to set the tone of the films direction.
hunter rider said:Stan Lee would have created Goblin without Joker,he is based more on mythos than on someone else's design and all major characters in this type of fiction have a personal nemesis that is their greatest rival

I love what we saw from comic con in the way Riami is introducing him,it reminded me of Alien but i'm also looking forward to the phsycological aspect of the Batman/Joker rivalry that im expecting Nolan to bring....Gah i hate my own poll![]()

Mr. Credible said:i just don't see how ledger can play a decent joker.
his voice is all wrong for the part, and the only thing that he has going for him physically is his abnormal mouth.
he's a good actor, yes, but i've never seen him do anything that makes me think he can pull this off.
granted, all the same things can be said of grace, so...
From what ive read The Joker will have a smaller role in TDK akin to Venom in SM3 as the crime war with the mobs is the main storyRobin91939 said:How I feel, is that the Joker has never been seen on screen, not the "real" Joker. He is going to be the main villain of THE DARK KNIGHT, while Venom will be a secondary villain in SPIDER-MAN 3.

In Spider-Man 3 we have twig boy portraying Venom.
