I was never a big Venom fan, and honestly, seeing Nolan´s take on Joker gives me the goosebumps...

Same here although i am a big Venom fan,i think that both parts of the rivalry(Pete/Eddie and Venom/Spidey) are very intruiging in their symmetry, ive always liked the idea of what an evil spiderman would be like but With Joker i just feel it will be so different from B89's take,it won;t provide the action thrillwise but i think the character battle between him and Batman will be facinating

For me personally, Venom, I prefer the character to The Joker, and although I'm excited about how Ledger will perform, I feel not as excited in the way that he has already been shown on screen whereas Venom hasn't

I think Venom will be cool to watch visually, but yeah, I´m more interested in the idea of Peter going dark.

I really wanna see the Joker more than Venom, actually more than any villian in upcoming films.
He's like the Darth Vader of the comic book world.

The Clown Prince took this one home.

Good work, Joker.

Something I'm worried about is that Sam is going with what? 3 villains? 4? Who knows if he'll be able to use them all properly. It feels like he only did it because ''Hell,Nolan got 3 villains in there. I can top that!'' and I'm really worried that one character will get way too much and the others will be lucky to have 10 minutes each.

God..this is definetly a tough descision.

The Joker has ALWAYS been a favorite villain of mine, and Nicholson's performance in B89 was phenomonal. Ledger is a terribly talented actor and has the just the right amount of greatness to make Nolan's version of Joker come to life. The showdown(s) between Bale/Batman and Ledger/Joker will no doubt be fantastic, and I can't wait to see that.

However, Eddie Brock/Venom is my favorite villain of any comic book anywhere! So, I definetly want to see Venom in SM3 MORE than The Joker in TDK. Venom is not as realistic as Joker, yes, but he is just so much more of a villain than The Joker.

The real question is who can give a better villain performance..Grace or Ledger?

I wouldn't call Venom more evil than Joker. Venom actually protects innocents (or he did,for a little while) and Joker is just crazy.

lol, please. because before Raimi makes his movies, he looks to directors of the same genre that are less successful first to judge his work. That must be how it goes. Even if you're right about there being too many villians, to imply it has anything to do with "topping" Nolan is just dumb.

Completely untrue. That's not even a matter of opinion. It's just a false statement, because the Joker is like 10 times more of a villain than Venom will ever be, and Venom's pretty good, so look what that makes the Joker.

ROFL!

That remark is a joke right?? The Joker is a hundred million times more of a villain than Venom.

EASILY. That's not an opinion. That's a hard fact. The Joker is more of a villain than Venom ever was. Venom is not even in the same league as Joker when it comes to villainy.

Anyway, it's good to see The Joker is slaying the overrated brain eater in the poll

What you just said is fairly similar to what I just said about his remark.

Good looks.

Joker would be good if he were a homicidal maniac. Unfortunately there are none in PG-13 movies. So expect laughing gas to be his most brutal death.

So.......where else would he have gotten the idea of 4 villains?

Well from what he said the idea to use Venom was Arad's but once they started wriitng the script the story worked with the 3 villains, there is no 4th

Don't you know? You're not allowed to have opinions around here!

So I guess when Wes Craven made Scream he had Batman Forever in mind.

Arad made the 4th villain comment but most think he just means Peter when he is bonded with the symbiote suit

Grrrrrrrr :thing:

I should have known. Saying Venom is more villainous than the Joker is like saying Batman is a lousy detective ;)
