MoviePass, Sinemia, A-List & Beyond - Subscription Theatergoing

Something confuses me: is everyone being limited to this new 10 a month plan, or is this a new plan? Like, is my current plan going to 15 bucks and going to work like previously announced, or is it staying at 10 and becoming this? I am so confused.

Just got their e-mail.

I don't know what to do. I might keep it and be a regular Tuesday moviegoer at Regal when my 3 film limit has been used up.

That $5 discount is a bit of a relief. My local matinee price is $4.75.

Only 3 movies a month is a bit of a bummer. I've already seen 4 or 5, but I still have over a week until it goes into effect.

I'll keep it until it goes out or I have problems with it and neither of those things have happened yet so

So Willis will be paying for everything right? Like going to a restaurant and the other guy "left his wallet in the car."

Right now, you can only get the option for 2 movies at a time with MoviePass. Looks like Slender Man or ______

I am about to see if a class action suit can be filed against them. This is ridiculous. You cannot keep changing stuff like that. There is no way it is legal. I am fine with only 3 movies a month, but I have no interest in Slender Man.

"Pray I do not alter the terms of our deal any further..."

They are straight up stealing from Darth Vader.

Over the weekend, I had Slender Man or The Meg as options. Neither of which are must see movies for me.

I only went to The Meg because it was free.

Spoiler....it wouldn't have been worth paying for.

I have no interest in Slender Man, free or not.

Wait, I forgot...I also had the option for The Spy Who Dumped Me

Not like Christopher Robin. Which I want to see.

Finally used A List last night to go see Mission Impossible with the old man. It's a pretty clean interface, though the "show your ID" thing made me raise an eyebrow due to how long it can take these kids to verify **** since my name is kinda long. But whatever

If Moviepass doesn't get me a refund, then I am so wasting their money. You want me to see Slender Man? SURE! I will buy my Christopher Robin ticket and simultaneously buy a ticket for Slender Man with no intention of going to actually see Slender Man. Then I will do this every day they offer a new movie. You want to not offer me the service I am paying for? Then I will waste your money and encourage others to do the same!!!

I'm so glad i don't have to worry about moviepass' garbage anymore since i cancelled. That 3 movie a month plan isn't interesting to me, and even if it was how in the world can you trust these guys? They're freakin' snakes. I really hope Regal joins the party soon. I'm loving A-List so far but i miss going to my favorite theatre at union.

If I had an AMC in closer proximity, then I would do A-list. But I don't want to drive from the edge of PA into Baltimore everytime I want to see a movie.

As I mentioned here, I cancelled my MoviePass over a week ago, and got a message that my account would still be active until the end of my billing cycle, which is on the 21st. So of course I intended to milk these last couple weeks for all they're worth. Last week, when I used it on Equalizer 2, I had to update my app, and I had to agree to new Terms & Conditions in order to get to the home screen, and those terms and conditions were mainly all about their new plan. Today I get an e-mail "confirming" my new subscription plan, which, to be honest, I had a feeling might happen even though they said I couldn't sign back up for 9 months after I canceled. IMMEDIATELY after I hit "ok" in the app last week, I thought to myself, "huh, I wonder if they're gonna use this to say I 'signed back up'"? And yep, they totally did. Sneaky. Nice try, MoviePass, canceled again! Better not get billed on the 21st.

Goddamn. :funny:

Against my better judgement i'm still sticking with it until something better shows up.

I think it was this time last year when I got my card. Happy 1 year anniversary, I guess. :o
