Movies OR aspects from a movie that have GROWN on you!

-Fargo
-American Beauty
-Bram Stoker's Dracula
-Batman Returns
-Molun Rouge
-Spider-Man 3
-Sleepy Hollow
-Troy
-Kingdom of Heaven

All movies I didn't like or was diasppointed by on first viewing that i've grown to like and find a few now (KOH:DC, BR and MR) to be amazing films. Really.

So did Carmine Falcone, and he's probably the film's biggest fan here.

I was tired and sick when I first saw it, and I fell asleep during a few of the good parts. I love it now.

First time watching it I was like: ''when does it get good?'' Now I love every minute of it.

There is a huge amount of films that have grown on me. I've got some instant favourites you know, but most of them I appreciated only after repeated viewings.

I blind-bought "American Psycho" on DVD; knew nothing of it, hadn't seen anything of it...nothing at all.

It's my favorite film of all time now. I can quote it on a whim, I can give a full main cast list on the spot from memory...everything.

Is this the truth? :(

Superman: The Movie. When I was a kid, I always feel asleep through it, but now I enjoy it.

Without looking at IMDB...Swear ON MY LIFE.

Christian Bale
Willem Dafoe
Jared Leto
Chloe Sevigny
Samantha Mathis
Reese Witherspoon
Matt Ross
Josh Lucas
Justin Theroux
Bill Sage
Cara Seymour
Guinevere Turner (also co-wrote the screenplay with Mary Harron)

And Mary Harron's sister plays the Bartender at the beginning of the film.

Not so much a movie, but an actor. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. If I'd have told myself a couple years ago that I would one day respect The Rock as an actor, i'd have punched future-Me in the face.

But after having seen Be Cool, and his cameo in Reno 911, and having not hated his perfomance in some of his other movies, I like the guy.

I'm sure I'd say the same if you went on a tangent for your favorite movie.

;)

But yeah, AP runs deep through my veins. Could give you a full track listing off the soundtrack without looking as well.

And could tell you that, in my opinion and upon alaysis, there are approximately 60 scenes in the film, give or take a few depending on your definition of a scene. But if a scene is whenever we transition from one location to another, then it's 60.

Mafia movies. I can't get enough of them.

Gangster movies are my favorite genre as well. There are so many good ones, from White Heat to Reservoir Dogs to The Godfather. It's a very versatile genre.

Yeah, you probably would. I think I can quote The Long Good Friday word for word... Even the most random pieces of dialogue.

the hulk is forever growing on me...

and since 300 came out which i thought was horrible, i've grown an appreciation for troy which is a million times better even though i still kinda hate it..

who knows, with time i may love it.

Yeah, he's a decent actor. I've always liked him.

Anchorman and Zoolander for me. I thought THIS is supposed to be funny?

Then I watched them both again. Utter CLASS.

The Sixth Sense

When you figure out right away what the twist is the movie is really boring. I finally rewatched it the other week on TBS or USA and it really wasn't as boring as I remember it being. Maybe it's because everyone knows the twist now and I don't feel quite as spoiled.

I dislike Sixth Sense. Not a big M. Night fan.

That's the only one I can get through, I tried watching his other ones and they just didn't do it at all. Actually I saw all of Unbreakable only because it was on a plane and I couldn't get away from it. It was bearable, just not something I'd want to watch again.

1984
Farenheit 451
Gattaca
Equilibrium
The Matrix
Escape from New York/Escape from LA

The films that taught me to hate Authoritative figures.

Down with Big Brother. Down with "The Man." Down with Conformity.

Signs is the only movie of his that I enjoyed. And thats mostly cause of Mel Gibson and James Newton Howard's score.

Was disappointed with Goodfellas on TV, but liked it after re-watching the movie on DVD.

Hated Constantine, was ok with it after buying DVD.

Didn't understand both Donnie Daro and Eternal Sunshine of Spotless Mind, but later loved it after re-watching them on DVD.

The Matrix Revolutions. I still don't really like it, but I've gone from hating everything about it to accepting it and watching it every now and then.

Because of my love for wrestling, I have an extreme bias for The Rock.
I've always liked the guy, as well. He is a very decent actor. Sometimes, people will judge the man either because he was a former wrestler (which is essentially the same as acting, and he was very good at that), or because he hasn't been the luckiest actor in terms of movies.
