No, it's just that a lot of people on here don't watch that much world cinema.
What movies that aren't considered classics, but should be? AFI Top 100 Movies of All Time's top 10 list is.
1.Citizen Kane
2.Casablanca
3.The GodFather
4.Gone With The Wind
5.Lawrence Of Arabia
6.The Wizard Of Oz
7.The Graduate
8.On The Waterfront
9.Schindler's List
10.Singin' in the Rain
In your opinion, what should be the top 10 classic films of all time be?
um... if those movies aren't considered classics, what are?
i've always wondered how exactly you judge an actors ability in movie that is in a language you can't speak. for example Life is Beautiful. i read the subtitles and it was good right, but how do i know that the guy isnt doing a terrible job over acting and emphasing stuff in italian? i guess that might be a bad example cuz it seemed over acting was the point in the character, so how about Pans Labyrinth instead? the acting all seemed fine to me, but if i actually spoke spanish i might have realized that it was actually pretty bad. how do we judge these things?thoughts on non-english language films that you'd consider a classic even if the rest of the world doesn't?

and im guessing there was some movie with Sidney Poitier before that living dead movie
I had some great foreign films in mind, but I doubt I've seen the best of the best. What ever film I thought of (Stormriders, Casshern, some from Cameroon, China, and India), I ran into two problems:Ah ok, The BFI list is better though......
But judging by the title I kinda guessed we'd go for world cinema etc, thoughts on non-english language films that you'd consider a classic even if the rest of the world doesn't?
And The Fifth Element. You left out Mac and Me.![]()
They Live is an underrated classic.
