Yeah, I Am Legend was pretty bad from start to finish. I was willing to give it a chance until Will Smith started talking to the mannequins. It was supposed to be sad and emotional but it just made me laugh my ass off. To pull something like that off, you need a much better actor than Smith, I don't care how much money his movies rake in at the box office. And even then, I'm not sure it would work.
Once the cartoon zombies show up, the movie became a massive fail. When the kid and his mom got there, it just made the whole movie even more lame because it proves that the movie poster lied to you. WILL SMITH IS THE LAST MAN ON EARTH. Um, no... he's the last man in New York.
It's unconventional and when those two die it's not a super dramatic slo mo sort of death. It's quick and sudden and best of all unexpected. And it shows that these kind of situations in real life don't always pan out in the end. Honestly how did you expect those two to get out of it? That's what's great. We pull for these guys and before we know it they're dead. Exactly like real life. And it's ballsy and doesn't turn into that happy ending. And really, with mlovies like this, did you expect some sort of happy ending?
