Movies where you actually root for the bad guy

Ohhh Darth Vader for sure. I mean, sure there are those 10 minutes at the end of Jedi where he's good, but right up until then he's pure, perfect badness.

Robert DeNiro's character in 'Heat', for one. I so wanted him to escape with Amy Brenneman, but of course, that doesn't happen in the movies.

That's because it didn't happen in real life either.

Silent Hill. I couldn't wait for those people in the church to get massacred one by one.

3:10 to Yuma
Batman (89)
Apocalypse Now
Collateral
Wanted
Reservoir Dogs
Emperor's New Groove
The Departed
A Few Good Men
Demolition Man
Training Day

I did that the first time I saw these movies

DARKNESS!!!
from Legend.

Surprised to not hear that already. I mean, who gives a **** about the rest of the film? Tom Cruise as "Jack" was completely uninteresting.

what? who's darkness? I don't know ****

The one I have the most trouble with is Die Hard, both the hero and villian are just way too awesome. Hans is one of the greatest movie villians of all time, but John McClane is just as good, too hard to chose who should win.

The Wicked Witch of the West in The Wizard of Oz.

This Kansas girl arrives and crushes her sister with her house, and then steals her ruby slippers. No justice in the land of Oz :oldrazz:

Besides the ones mentioned already, the villain group in The Marine--the main character became so robotic after the first act, and they were kinda funny.

That the story of Cena's life.

Also, to talk about actual good movies, Dracula in Bram Stoker's Dracula. He's somewhat different, in that he doesn't have a grand plan like he does in the book, and Harker is such a dullard and Van Helsing is a bit of a nut, that ole' Drac can't help but look better in comparison.

?

The bugs in Starship Troopers. They were attacked first.

Of course. Hans Gruber. Charming, international bandit. In the end, he died hard. He's the title character!

- Hannibal Lecter: i really wanted him to chew Dr. Chilton up :hehe:
- The Joker (TDK)

Schindler's List.

Psyche, naw. :p

I rooted for Jason in the new Friday the 13th

I rooted for Lucian in the first Underworld (and the 3rd, but he's more a straight forward hero there)

I rooted for the aliens in The Day the Earth Stood Still (the remake)

Rooted for Denzel in Training Day

Rooted for Tony Montana in Scarface

:wow:

I hope your kidding.

LEGEND is one of the greatest fantasy movies ever made. Go over to youtube and search LEGEND, Tim Curry. Come back post your thoughts.
