Yeah, good choices. ALL of the LOTR movies. They suck. There's nothing special about them. They're overrated.

Yup, nothing special...except for the most complex filmmaking task ever captured on celluloid.

LOTR 1 and 2 were good...#1 is my favorite but ROTK SUCKED ARSE!!! :down

#1 was my least favorite(but still one of the best movies ever), ROTK is my favorite film of all time.

Yeah. Making an expensive cartoon with some real people mixed in is real hard. That's why Space Jam is such a masterpiece, like the LOTR movies. :o

I wasnt expecting inspired films out of LotR so I liked them but didnt love them.
The books were boring and a movie is only as good as its story.

Im not saying Tolkien wasnt a visionary genius, im just saying his books read like a flippin' 3000 page dictionary...each.

No, but making 3 of the most mass-scaled genre-bending movies ever with a huge ensamble cast where effects, digital and practical, are blended with live action like never before, all for under $100 mill a piece back to back to back is indeed one of the most demanding projects in the history of cinema.
Whether you liked the films or not, denying the effort and complexity of the task from a filmmaking standpoint is just blind ignorance, and comparing LOTR to Space Jam is just plain stupid.

Overrated , meaning they really don't deserve that much praise and/or the awards that they got:

1 Return Of The King
2 Kill Bill 1 and 2
3 Spiderman 2
4 Schlong Kong ( which is what i call King Kong)
5 Superman : The Movie ( i still don't see what so special about this movie that makes people wanna have an orgasm  . It's an okay flick but terribly dated )
6 Titanic

Hate them with a passion :
Kill Bill 1 and 2

Which is probably why you (and me as well, actually) don't see it as all that special.

Lord of the Rings is the best movie trilogy ever. Directing, Location, Acting, Cast, Plot, Special Effects etc were all amazing. Well thats my point of view anyway.

Okay, so basically, what you just said was they mixed expensive cartoon effects with some live action stuff. So it was, essentially, a larger scale Space Jam.

Okay, so basically what you just did was simplify something that's extremely complex and takes a remarkable amount of effort to put onscreen, and compared it to a Loony Toons movie with Michael Jordan in it(not exactly the same as balancing a huge ensamble cast, and Space Jam isn't exactly a genre-bender by the way).
What you're doing is the equivelant to watching expert martial artists that have spent many years mastering their craft, and claiming "all they're doing is jumping around and punching and kicking each other, anybody could do that! There's nothing special about it!"

Once Upon a Time In The West.
I wish it was as good as everyone says it is.

So you're saying that Space Jam isn't special?

How dare you.

I agree with Stormy, comparing the LotR movies to Space Jam is ridiculous.

I've told you before, Stormyprecious.

Nothing I say will ever be against you, for you love Monica Bellucci....thus really knowing the good things in life.

I cannot doubt anything you say, so yeah....my comment does not apply to you.

What you love is awesome, and what you hate blows

Ok, I know there are some movies out there that other people think are so good that just piss me off to no end.

American Beauty makes me want to kill people.

Kill Bill (both craptacular volumes)

Napolean Dynamite... I have to agree with the above poster.... watching a ****** weirdo make tatertots.... dear god....

The Nightmare before christmas.... this is a musical about ... something, and its claymation. And it, well, deserves to go down as one of those movies that never should have been. Kinda along the ways of the 90's version of FF.

The Royal Tenenbaums.... dear god did i actually watch this movie.

ok if i dont stop i'll explode.

Oh and other people saying they dont like the movies doesnt mean you get to defent them. This is a " I dont like it for no other reason that I dont like it." While I wasnt a huge fan of the lord of the rings, you're not going to hear me say, oh it was the most complicated cinematic master piece of our time. ......so? Dosent sway me to like or dislike the movie anymore.

The Usual Suspects. I think the movie is good but highly overrated. I'm one of the few (if not the only) person that thinks the ending is rather bad and brings the whole movie down a couple of notches.
