Mr. Freeze Casting Thread

Mark Strong would actually be perfect as Mr. Freeze and even though he did play Sinestro in the 2011 flop Green Lantern he was sick as Sinestro and honestly I feel that he deserves a second chance to play a comic book villain and who better than Victor Fries/Mr. Freeze for Strong to play?

Arnold was entertaining if you wanna be drunk while watching it and laugh. But he buried this character along with Shumacher. Someone has to dig him back up and do him justice. I dont think it's for a very long time though because he's buried pretty deep.

I actually wrote that the wrong way. I could watch clips of Ahnold's Freeze on youtube and laugh out loud but i meant the movie as a whole. I can't take the performance all the way though, more in doses. That movie is one of the worst things to enter Hollywood it's so bad, and i need to be drunk to enjoy it. Even then im throwing pizza at the tv during scenes. But i still feel like Arnold's interpretation buried the character.

It's not that i dont have a sense a humor. Kane you don't know me when im offline. Im borderline "Travesty" even with the trolling, i just dont do that online...and i get a little serious when talking about film or Batman. I just like my Batman and villains to not be goofy. Especially Freeze. They had a great opportunity in the 90s to show Freeze as a darker, serious character and they took the piss out of him instead. Not a wise choice.

But you enjoy everything Batman, including the camp...i just dont.

Batmans reaction to Freeze's villainy is a fantastic opportunity to give the character more depth. Bats is sympathetic, but Freeze still has to go down. I'd kill for a CBM without the city destroying boom fest.

I don't think the will use freeze anytime soon.. because the character was destroyed by the Batman and Robin film.. and there is a common conception that the character is really campy.

It also will be hard to put into this universe that follows realism and a dark tone how a man who has an ice suit and gun that shoots ice. His goals are also kind of weird, well except for the gripping and emotional backstory of course.

I don't buy that. Only Two-Face we saw live action before TDK was Tommy Lee Jones wannabe Joker interpretation. I think between the Arkham games and BTAS the public knows Freeze is more than just Arnies one liners.
