MTV developing Scream series

And now she has all but disappeared. :csad:

You found a bad reason to attached, then. Switch teams to Lydia. :o

Or switch teams in a different way and be there for Stiles like almost all the rest of us. :ninja:

But, the other side lost Derek (or at least constant Derek, shirtless).

Holland Roden is extremely attractive. But is there a point of jumping back on now? It has to be close to the end.

Season 4 had plenty of Peter, which is always fun.

Anyone watching? Also curious how do you all rank the Scream films. Mine would be

Scream
Scream 4
Scream 2
Scream 3

Ahh this girls mother with the glasses, I knew she looked familiar. She was the babysitter in New Nightmare.

Interesting so far. Think I will stick with it for the season. If only to see a lot of these characters to get killed off.

The mask isn't too bad and I like the new voice.

Just started watching the rerun. The first death is kind of lame. Was she not able to take that second to type in 911 instead of telling her phone to dial it?

I don't have an Iphone, but apparently there are issues when your hands are wet.

Well what do you expect its a Horror series and everybody in Horror movies acts so dumb so the killer could kill them.

I kinda liked the first episode. A little too "teen melodrama" for me, but that's to be expected because it's MTV.

Evil, horrible show. I invest a bit, and they get rid of the reason I watched. :cmad:

Yes Bella Thorne should have lasted at least a couple of episodes & had a few more bikini shots before meeting her demise.:( At least there is Emma & Brooke if any of those 2 are killed off soon then I would stop watching since they are the only 2 hot girls still left alive that I care about.

The short black haired girl seems to have been in everything recently from Arrow, IZombie & now the Scream series but I just don't care about her one way or the other, I hope they don't play her as the Sidney of the tv series.

It worked for me. Not 100%, but I could stick around. Especially after that preview at the end. Nerdy kid seems a little too Topher Grace-y, though. :o

Yeah, same boat. There were a few eyeroll-worthy moments, but enough of it worked for me to stick around. I wasn't too thrilled about the idea of totally rebooting the series, but the pilot has sorta won me over on it. I do miss the classic Ghostface mask and voice, but I think it does make sense to separate this from the movies. The show is 100% MTV-ish, but honestly Scream in general is so I think it's a good match. I'm still a bit bummed that Scream 5 and 6 fell apart, but I'm hoping this series will be a good consolation prize. It'd be nice if this can keep the franchise alive.

Oh, and I can attest that wet hands definitely do make it really annoying to use the touchscreen on your smartphone. Thought that bit was actually pretty clever.

I enjoyed all the stuff with the killer. I like the mask and his voice. And I love the typical slasher background we got on the supposed killer. He was deformed, bullied, loved a girl. Very typical slasher stuff. All that works for me. The kids obviously it's MTV, very teen drama non sense. But as long as they get killed out in cool ways, that will please me haha.

Bella Thorne birthday is when again? :o

I saw and thought it was pretty horrible after the opening. But I think I will stick around for a bit, it nothing else I am interested in what is going to happen with the mother and Bex's character.

The drama isn't the issue imo. The kids are just extremely annoying in their general attitudes imo. Well except for a couple.

No you're right I agree with you, the drama is just like whatever I guess. I enjoyed a few characters. But overall I will be happy to see them get picked off haha. What did you think of the killer and all that, the background of the supposed killer etc

I liked it a lot. Most of the problems I had with it are usually in most pilots. The voice sounded like Ghostface's more than I expected. The show feels like the love child of Scream and Harper's Island.

I was surprised by the voice, it sounded really good.

I agree with you on that. I thought the scene about "caring" about the characters was hilarious, because except for a couple of them, I want to see them get butchered. :funny:

Not sure how to feel about the character. I like the tie to the past with the mother, but it depends on how "twisty" it gets. Good, clean, fun horror kills and a nice standard motivate would nice. The mask didn't bother me and I too liked the voice. Probably going to be cheering for who ever it is.

I like it because it's different enough to be its own thing. It's like the events of Scream but happening in a different city and time.

I find it funny that people can blast MTV all they want about the pilot, but it was written by Kevin Williamson lol.

Also, I haven't really read a lot of hateful comments about the show so far. Sure there are some who think it's lame, but the majority of opinions I've read on here, Twitter, Facebook, and from friends is they've either loved it or liked it enough to stick around. The show's clearly not the almighty disaster people were expecting (or hoping).

Harper's Island did a good job of melding soap opera drama, slasher genre tropes and murder mysteries.

Kevin Williamson isn't involved with this show at all. He definitely did not write the pilot.
