The Dark Knight Music composer for TDK

zimmer and newton, or just newton. they should really play up the themes tho, especially the main batman theme. it was barely apparent in the first film.

Let's just give Ottman yet another comic film to compose, don't we all love his generic and mediocre sountracks? :p It's mind-boggling how this composer seems to nab every damn comic book movie in Hollywood

Anyway, I loved Zimmer's and Newton's music for Begins, keep them.

lol! a man with some sense!

Zimmer and Newton Howard should return. They made a great score for BB.

I'm sure they'll be back (rightfully so)

Hmmm so your happy with molossus being the batman trilogy theme? i mean that theme for the whole three movies. I mean i liked it, but i would prefer something a tad bit different am i the only one who thinks this here?
Hmm, I don't consider Molossus being the theme for BB. Wasn't the beginning of Vespertilio (the giant "whoosh" flapping sound) more of a theme? I mean, it appeared in BB way more than Molossus did, and it was badass. Molossus, as great as it was for the chase, is more of your run-of-the-mill action cue. When I play the score for people, they all go, "Ooooooooh" over the whooshes. They're just so atmospheric.

I also agree with the Star Wars idea. Keep some of the themes, but develop new ones as well for the new characters and situations.

They could play some Phil Collins

I've been waiting for this hero, all my life, BATMAN!!! BATMAN!!!!"

Mm, thank you for being respectful. From what I've gleamed, the old-school of film scoring has this unspoken rule that themes must be "hummable." (Which, I guess would be impossible anyway for people who are tone-deaf, but that's besides the point.) It's like saying that all comic book movies should follow a particular formula or be fun and light-hearted, and we all know how BB kicked that one out of the window. :)

Anyhow, this is the 21st century, and we, of the rebellious generation, pride ourselves on thinking out of the box, don't we? I couldn't exactly hum you the Matrix theme (the brass octave...thing), but I could recognize it in a heartbeat. (Once I actually came running into the TV room when I heard it, yelling, "MATRIIIIX!" but I guess that belies my fangirlness.) Same with BB. And frankly, I think it's more important that a theme be associated with a movie than be hummable.

If you would like to discuss this further, go right ahead. But I assure you, I'm not going to bother conversing with someone whose only rebuttal is simply an opinion and "****." It's like talking to a billboard, and I'd rather be talking to a person.

Batman Begins is one of the best, most dynamic and textured scores of the decade, they'd better as hell be back!

theyll be back.if not,get me klaus bladet!

THEY'LL BE BACK, like Schwarzenegger was in 1991 and 2003.

If not them I'd like the Memento composer to make the O.S.T., but hell no--John Ottman (please not!).

It will definitely either be Zimmer/Howard or Julyan. Zimmer/Howard will most likely return as long as their schedules permit.

that's a motif, not a theme. get it right. until then, ****.

James Newton Howard should return by himself.

Elfman is great I even bought the B89 score when I was a kid, but he has such a different style for Nolan's Batman. He can do brooding, but when he starts with music for villains it becomes sort of silly sounding rather than disturbing and intimidating. You can say the goofy sound for Joker in B89 is fitting, but I also noticed in Spidey 2 that the music for Doc Ock made it sound a tad campy (especially the building/saving aunt may scenes). The music for Scarecrow's scenes is the right tone I'd like to here when villains are onscreen. I want to be able to react with "oh sh**!, don't mess with that psycho" instead of "here comes the big baddy bad guy villain"...the music is always important; it shas to compliment the tone of those scenes really well.

he did a serious, intense and brooding score for red dragon..

I'll spark a joint to that!! :)

I think im getting bored of Zimmer's scores there all starting to sound very alike but Badelt has alot going for him. He's kinda got a Zimmer style but with his own unique touch which I like.

I think they should return. I loved their score in the first film, and I'm sure those two, together, can top their effort.

I really would like to hear a solo effort by James Newton Howard.

Hellsyeah! I want them to return!

But, I want the Molossus track as the main movie theme! -All they have to do is just reprise it a bit.

Elfman was great in 89', but that's where I like him to stay. Miles away from TDK.

Keep Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard. The previous score in Begins was superb.

Molossus is the theme only sped up, the actual theme theme is slower.
