Music (Soundtrack and score)

Don't know if anyone noticed this on amazon.com but it says "Composer Craig Armstrong brings his Grammy®- and Golden Globe®-winning talents to the film score for the new blockbuster, "The Incredible Hulk" (in theaters June 13). This gripping soundtrack is an Amazon.com Exclusive." http://www.amazon.com/Incredible-Hulk-Score-2-CD-version/dp/B0019SMSUM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1212894574&sr=1-1 So basically you can only get it through amazon.com lol. Anyways just thought I would point that out incase no one else did. Also to keep people from going all around town searching for the CD which I would of done if I wouldn't have seen that on their.

ALREADY PREORDERED!!!:D:up:

Can't believe Universal & Marvel are setting this soundtrack up as an Amazon exclusive!? Why? Why limit the album to only one retailer? Makes no sense if they're really trying to push this film on all fronts - and make more money in the process. Odd. Oh, well... Amazon here I come!

maybe its just a timed exclusive, like it comes out in stores a week later or something, or possibly the 2 disk version is exclusive and a one disk will be released in stores. i find it highly unlikly that just amazon gets the c.d

You can actually download the single disc now at Amazon.com in the Mp3 download section. The score is really nice, after repeated listenings, it really grows on you.

Wait, how did you download it already? I looked on the MP3 download and it doesnt list it as downloadable.

Damn, sorry guys. It looks like they realized it was a mistake and took it down. I got it just in time. Okay, wel, sorry buddies. But hey Joker, for your troubles --

Hey guys i just got an E-mail from Amazon.com that my score just shipped!
:yay:

hooray for scores... but I still wanted a pop album..

I wish I could listen to the whole track:

11. Bruce Goes Home (with "The Lonely Man")

The little 30 second snippet doesn't give much. :(

I've been listening to the score for the past few days. Like Bosef said, it definitely grows on you. I think my favorite tracks are: "Hulk Theme", "Favela Escape", "That Is The Target", "Bruce Goes Home", and "Abomination Alley" so far.

Speaking of the Hulk Theme ... I think it's fantastic. It's creepy, and not traditionally heroic at all, which I think works really well for the character. The Lonely Man Theme doesn't play as much as I thought it would, but when you hear it, it's effectively heard. I'm assuming it's there when it needs to be.

As for the score itself, it is very moody. Which I liked.

What i've learned about scores over the years is that, i tend to enjoy them MORE after i see the movie. It's like the score itself brings back memories, particularly if the scene is awesome, whereas if i listen to the score by itself before i see the movie, it rarely does anything for me. There are exceptions of course, but for the most part, this is how i tend to enjoy a score.

Then go listen to "NOW That's What I Call Music!" volume 982, but that stuff has no business in a Hulk soundtrack.
