While true that early noughties films like X-Men and Spider-Man reintroduced life to the superhero movie franchise, it is the film makers own fault that they created a negative image with their respective train wrecks such as X3, Origins, Spider-Man 3. You can't keep up a momentum when the fan base has lost interest. That's why the MCU is superior, and why you say we are now the "mutants". They planned carefully, learned from Fox and Sony's mistakes, and even their worst Marvel film is better than 70% of Fox and Sony's. At the end of the day these are all Marvel Comics adaptations. I love them all equally. The Avengers was an amazing film, but X2 is still tops in my books because of personal preference. It's as if you're a Magneto trying to conjure a war between those faithful to one series. Look beyond the studio's producing the films and respect them for the fact they're all based on beloved comic book tales.
