Name of story or issue??

I remember a Superman & Batman story.

It was drawn by Jerry Ordway I'm sure of that.
The cover Shows Superman and Batman on a building it was also by Ordway. I think the cover had a piece of Krytonite on it aswell. I remember the colours of the cover we're mostly grey/green. The title might also have something to do with Kryptonite though I'm not sure of it.
I'm pretty sure it featured a bald guy, so that's got to be Lex Luthor.
I read it 10 years ago I think around 1990 (Holy crap that's over 15 years! I suddenly realize I'm getting old...), but I never bothered with it and now suddenly it feels like a burning gap in my collection.

If it's any help, it was also published in the Netherlands.

I'm a lot better at remembering plots than I am at just remembering what cover illustration was on what issue of a particular title. But you mentioned Superman, and Batman, and Kryptonite, and you thought Lex Luthor was in there somewhere, and you thought you first saw it around 1990. That was enough to get me started thinking. In 1990 I bought a three-part story (one issue of each of three Superman titles) called "Dark Knight Over Metropolis" in which Batman found a Kryptonite ring in Gotham and traveled to Metropolis to talk to Superman about it.

Here's a link to the image of the cover of Part 1 (Superman #44). According to the cover, this was the part of the story that Ordway worked on. Look familiar?
