I have some questions about this film.

Does anyone know if Victor Caroli will narrate some of the movie? His voice was classic in the original G1 cartoon?

Will the film have the autobot and decepticon sign transition from one scene to the next?

DC and Marvel comic book films have their logo shown before their films begin. What comic book logo will be shown before the transformer movie starts?

Well, I would have to say, in order to update the insignia-swap scene change, they would have to moderize it a bit to keep it from being to cheesy. Maybe a zoom-in on the Autobot insignia then zoom-out from the Decepticon one.

I don't want narration for the movie. except maybe from Spike/Sam.

I don't know if te insignia swap would work on the movie.

I don't want much narration. I only want to hear a few sentences by Victor Caroli at the beginning of the film. You've got to admit his voice sounds appropriate.

As long as he doesn't pull a Morgan Freeman in War of the worlds... i guess i'm ok with it

There will be no comic book logo due to the fact its not owned by a comic book company its owned my hasbro which will more than likely not use a logo. The narrateion and the autobot deceptacon sigh transition would be to kiddy to use in a serious movie.

They'd be more likely to use Hasbro's logo than a comic one (although I hope they don't). They'd have to fit three companies in if that were the case.

I'm pretty sure Optimus Prime was narrating at one point but I don't know if that's still the case.

Let Prime narrate! But, only to get things started. Peter Cullen did a great job narrating Voltron.

Where did you hear that?

This is about the live action film right?

I agree that the autobot deceptacon sign transition would be kiddy but, I disagree with your ideas about the narration. No one had a problem with Professor Xavier's narration at the beginning of X1 and X2. On the other hand, I thought Marvel sold the comic book rights of Transformers to a Canadian comic book company years ago. Whoever owns the comic book rights will try to get their logo to be in this film.

Um Hasbor made transformers which means they own. You see Marvel just puplished a comic for it. And later let those puplishing rights go which hasbro then sold to dreamwave then after they went under went back to hasbro again which then went to IDW. You see IDW has to pay hasbro the OWNERS of trasnformers to make the comic.

They couldn't do that even if they tried.

I can't remember where I first heard the Optimus part but it was 100% accurate, not a rumour (at the time anyway). The narration thing is mentioned in one of the script reviews.

Although he waffles like a madman so I'd just do a search on 'narrator'...

Prime could definatly be a Narrator - or even Spike, I could see it working.

The Transition - I'm thinking no, it was kind of annoying even in the cartoon (but not as annoying as the inside of the electronic cube with all the monitors)

Hasbro is a trademark and global Juggernaught - they have something to do with everything in children-entertainment. No doubt their logo will be posted somewhere. Which brings up the thought - If the Transformer movie does well, could hasbro try to delve into their other licenses...

...Yo! Joe!

I wouldn't mind Prime being the narrator (especially with Peter Cullen doin his voice).

I liked the transition. It had style. On the other hand I would rather undergo a root canal than watch another transformer episode inside that cube!!!:ghost:

I liked the G.I. Joe cartoon but, I doubt that it would work as a live action movie.

If anything GI joe is closer to real life than transformers and the plot could be really good.

Alot of people said that about Transformers.:woot:

The reason it won't work is because there are way too many characters and 99% of the characters would die in one battle. Therefore, it can't work. On the other hand transformers works because there are less characters and all the robots can survive every battle.

Wasnt it already announced that there was a GI JOE movie in the works?

Screenwriters David Elliot and Paul Lovett have been signed by Paramount to script a live action version of "G.I. JOE" for producer Lorenzo Di Bonaventura.

Elliot and Lovett scripted "Four Brothers", aka "The Untitled Mark Wahlberg Project" which Di Bonaventura is also producing for Paramount.

Hasbro, Inc. announced an agreement last year with di Bonaventura to develop a full-length, live-action feature based on Hasbro's legendary G.I. JOE 'action figure'.

"A G.I. JOE live-action movie is a natural," said di Bonaventura, former Executive VP/Head of Worldwide Production/Domestic Marketing for Warner Brothers.

"Three generations of children grew up with the G.I. JOE brand and after nearly 40 years, it's an honor to be able to bring the saga and its characters to life on movie screens."

"A live-action film will deliver high energy and non-stop excitement to the millions of fathers and sons that share awesome memories of G.I. JOE," said Brian Goldner, President of Hasbro's U.S. Toys Segment. "Lorenzo has an amazing track-record for picking winners in the entertainment industry and we are thrilled at his enthusiasm and approach towards G.I. JOE ..."

When Hasbro launched G.I. JOE in 1964, it gave the world its very first "action figure" and defined childhood for millions of fans around the world. Since then, G.I. JOE has come to symbolize patriotism, honor and courage, and is one of the best-selling male action brands of all time.

Umm theres hundreds of transformers what are you talking about. And just becasue you can make a movie doesn't mean you have to use every single gi joe. The show in each epsidoe didn't even use them all at once. You form a team of 5 to 6 and you have yourself a movie.

Didn't you watch the original cartoon when you where younger? I remember the first(G. I. Joe) and second series(Revenge of Cobra, 5 episodes) having no less than 20 characters on each side. The revenge of Cobra episodes introduced Shipreck, Zartan, and the dreadnocks. The teams of Cobra and G.I. Joe have to be greater than 5 or 6 for the movie to work. Remember that Cobra is a terrorists organization that is determined to rule the world. In reality Cobra should be made up no less than 100 members.
